Let’s look at all three matches in an abbreviated MLS Week 4 schedule with some World Cup Qualifiers being played now and a full 11-match schedule resuming Week 5.

NE Revolution vs. Minnesota United

Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, Mass. Saturday, 2 p.m. EDT

Oddsmakers are leaving Minnesota United Totals at 2½ in their sportsbooks with heavy 'Over' juice, so until it goes to 3, there’s a perceived edge betting the 2½ 'Over.' Expansion MUFC (4 GF-13 GA) has seen 17 goals scored in its first three games with Kevin Molino (2 goals), Christian Ramirez (2 goals) and Minnesota (200/1 to win MLS Cup, Intertops) earning its first-ever MLS point in a 2-2 Draw at Colorado in Week 3, while New England (0-0-2, W-D-L) seeks its first win after scoring just once (Lee Nguyen) in two games. Here Saturday (MLS Live, CSN-NE, My29), expect GK Cody Cropper and the Revs (40/1, Intertops) to not want to be embarrassed and find a way to score goals with a loss potentially dooming the club’s psychology as falling to an expansion side allowing an average of 4.67 gpg at home, would truly mean Juan Agudelo, Diego Fagúndez and NE would be deemed the MLS’ worst club in a season with two expansion clubs. Ain’t nobody got time for that.

Final Score Prediction: Revolution 3, Minnesota United 1Free MLS Picks: Revolution -250, Over 2½ -167 (Intertops)

New York Red Bulls vs. Real Salt Lake

Red Bull Arena, Harrison, NJ, Saturday, 4 p.m. EDT

The New York Red Bulls (2-0-1 , 4 GF-4 GA) should be salty in this scheduling spot after losing to the defending champ Sounders 3-1 in  Week 3. A look at the L5 meetings (RSL 2-1 RBNY, RBNY 1-0 RSL, RSL 1-1 RBNY, RBNY 4-3 RSL, RSL 2-0 RBNY) shows the home club an unbeaten 4-1-0. Lifetime, Bradley Wright-Phillips (1 goal) and the Red Bulls (+550 to win MLS Cup, Intertops) are 5-3-1 at home (18 GF-9 GA) vs. Yura Movsisyan (1 goal) and RSL (80/1, Intertops) who will be traveling two time zones east and have yet to score a road goal (0-2). With GK Luis Robles and a chip on its shoulder, Sacha Kljestan and the RBNY should notch a Clean Sheet.

Final Score Prediction: Red Bulls 2, Real Salt Lake 0Free MLS Pick: Red Bulls -1 -115 (BookMaker)

Columbus Crew vs. Portland Timbers

Columbus Crew Stadium, Columbus, Ohio, Saturday, 7:30 p.m. EDT

Here in the Ohio capital Saturday night (MLS Live, ROOT Sports NW, CW Columbus, Spectrum Sports OH, BCSN2), we have a rematch of the 2016 MLS Cup -- won by Portland when Columbus still called MAPFRE Stadium home, 2-1 -- with Diego Valeri (4 goals) and the Timbers (3-0-0, 10 GF-3 GA) riding in atop the West and boasting the best overall MLS mark. Ola Kamara (2 goals) and the Crew (1-1-1, 4 GF-4 GA) have gone winless the L4 meetings (POR 2-1 CLB, CLB 1-2 POR, CLB 1-2 POR, POR 3-3 CLB) in a series which has seen the 'Overs' hit 4 straight -- after the first meetings ever all went way 'Under' the Total -- with the Both Teams To Score (Yes) prop going 4-0. There will definitely be goals here in Columbus (Rain showers in evening, possible Thunder, Low 55°, SE Winds 5-15 mph) and Fanendo Adi (3 goals) and the Timbers, traveling three time zones from PT to ET, should find a way to win in a high-scoring affair in possible rainy and sloppy conditions.

Final Score Prediction: Timbers 3, Crew 2Free MLS Picks: Over 3, Timbers +225, Timbers +1 -154 (DSI)Free MLS Prop Pick: Both Teams To Score (Yes) -187 (Bet365)
