Major League Soccer betting is heating up this weekend with a slew of games to spot on your soccer picks. Find out where we’re lining up our picks as we breakdown the weekend’s schedule.

MLS Weekend Betting
With an International round of fixtures across the globe, MLS serves up a watered down menu with just three fixtures this weekend.

New York City FC vs. New England Revolution
New England Revolution aren’t living up to expectations, but the season is only three matches deep so there’s time to get on track. As it is, they are winless through three rounds sporting a 0-2-1 mark and just two points down to a 3-3 draw on opening day with Houston Dynamo and a stalemate with DC United. Most recently, they’re coming off a massive 3-0 loss to Philadelphia Union. They’ll be looking to bounce back in the Bronx at the weekend when they take on New York City FC.

The hosts are a modest 1-1-1 on the season, but coming off their first loss to Orlando City. The Revolution enter this game as the decided underdogs on the MLS odds board, trading at a high of +217 at Pinnacle. A less than stellar start on the season, coupled with injury to Charlie Davis and the absence of their best player Nguyen (off for international duty), has the Revolution poised to suffer their first losing streak of the season. Odds makers aren’t exactly cornering this game in New York’s camp, but given home advantage and a better start to the season so far they should come through for their backers.

Vancouver Whitecaps vs. Houston Dynamo
After kicking off the season on a back-to-back losing streak, the Vancouver Whitecaps clinched their first win behind a 2-1 win over Seattle Sounders. The Whitecaps will be looking to build their first winning streak with a win over Houston Dynamo on Saturday in Vancouver. Houston are 1-1-1 to start the new terms, but coming off a 4-3 loss to New York RB. A modest start by any account, but what makes Dynamo a rather intriguing prospect on our soccer picks is their offensive prowess.

Through three games they’ve scored 11 goals (the most in the MLS). It’s also worth mentioning they’ve conceded seven goals too, also the most in MLS ahead of match day 4. As such, this opens up the prospect of playing the totals on our soccer picks rather than the clear-cut win. Whitecaps are favoured to win at home anywhere from -125 to -135 on the MSL odds board, but, let’s face it, three games into the season and just one win is hardly conducive of their favourable soccer odds. Best to play the totals here in our opinion.

DC United vs. FC Dallas
DC United are off to a slow crawl out of the gates, taking two points in three matches behind a 0-2-1 mark. They opened the season on a whopping 4-1 loss to LA Galaxy before grinding out back-to-back draws at the expense of New England and Colorado Rapids. Searching for their first win of the season, they welcome FC Dallas at the weekend, a side that is off to a flying start with six points in three rounds. Dallas opened with a 2-0 win over Philadelphia Union but lost 5-0 to Houston Dynamo on match day 2.

In the last lap around MLS, Dallas bounced back with a 2-0 win over Montreal Impact. In spite of the contrasting starts to the season, odds makers aren’t unanimous in their serving for this game. Some send Dallas into this game as the notional underdogs while others send them into this game as the notional favourites. For our money, we fancy Dallas on our soccer picks as the notional underdogs.
