Let’s take a look at the MLS Betting Odds for the upcoming week and provide some Free Soccer Picks to join in the action and profit from these exciting games!

In one of the potentially more entertaining matches in MLS play over the next five days, former Chelsea legend Didier Drogba and the Impact play host to Robbie Keane and the Western Conference-leading LA Galaxy at Saputo Stadium in Montréal on Saturday night in an enticing inter-conference MLS affair from the province of Quebec and the 514 where the Snowy Owl is the official bird and where the 38-year-old Ivorian could probably get elected Mayor.

Let’s take a look and provide some picks from Wednesday’s and Friday’s games, the eight slated for Saturday along with Sunday’s NYCFC-Orlando SC showdown and weekend closer from Yankee Stadium in The Bronx which will see legendary playmakers David Villa, Andrea Pirlo and Kaká playing against each other in the same historic NYC stadium in which Babe Ruth played Baseball a century ago.

Orlando SC vs. Philadelphia Union, Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, Saturday, 9 p.m. EDT
Philadelphia (5-3-3, 15 GF-11 GA) enters this week of play in 1st place in the Eastern Conference with 18 points—a total which would leave them in 7th place in the Western Conference today and out of the Playoffs—after Richie Marquez scored in the first minute of stoppage time to gave Philadelphia a 1-0 win over DC United at PPL Park in Philadelphia.

Here, Sebastien Le Toux (2 goals), CJ Sapong (5 goals), Chris Pontius (4 goals) and the visiting Union (1-1-3, 4 GF-7 GA on Road) will be trying to improve on their poor goal-scoring average on the Road (0.80 gpg) against an Orlando City side which is an unbeaten (2-4-0—W-D-L, 12 GF-8 GA) at Home in the Citrus Bowl. With Orlando City SC just joining the MLS last season, these two clubs have only met three times with the Union winning both meetings in the City of Brotherly Love and Fat Cheesesteaks (1-0, 2-0) and the two sides playing to a 0-0 Draw in the first meeting ever between the two here at the Citrus Bowl last season.

So, the visiting Union have allowed only 1 goal to OCSC in three matches, but with Cyle Larin (6 goals), Kevin Molino (4 goals) and brilliant Spanish playmaker Kaká (2 goals) and the Home Site here and a Win in their last match, the edge goes to Orlando City. The Weather Forecast for Orlando on Wednesday night is currently calling for mostly Clear Skies, a Low of 68°, ENE Winds of 10-20 mph, so nice Temperatures and a potentially a little Windy.

For the recreational bettor, taking a shot on the BTTS may be worth consideration while for the serious player, there will be better matches on the schedule on which to bet than this, which could very well end in a Draw.

Sporting Kansas City vs. DC United, Children’s Mercy Park, Kansas, Friday, 7 p.m. EDT
The Over on soccer odds has hit in 7 of the L9 meetings in this series with this Both Teams To Score (’Yes’) Prop also winning in 7 of the L9. Overall, these two have both proven they can win on the others’ pitch, and there are no other significant Trend(s) worth chirping about outside of the Over and the BTTS. Besides the Home Site, Sporting Kansas City (5-2-7, 14 GF-17 GA) also has the invisible advantage of being prouder from playing in the Western Conference although this team has been below average at Home so far this season (3-1-3, 9 GF-10 GA).

But DC United (3-4-5, 13 GF-14 GA) has been miserable on the Road (0-3-2, 3 GF-7 GA) and has only scored 3 goals in 5 Road matches. Maybe the best approach here is backing SKC in the Draw No Bet marketplace (-250, Stan James), although it seems the Under looks good—the reality that the Over has W5 straight and 7 of the L9 makes that too hard to recommend—but the two matches that did go Under over that span were played here in the beautiful City of Fountains.

When Angels are beating all their wings in Time (with Smiles on their Faces and a gleam in their eyes), then it’s probably just best to just leave it all alone.

Vancouver Whitecaps vs. Houston Dynamo, BC Place, British Columbia, Saturday, 6:00 p.m. EDT
This is a series in which the Trends are really worth paying attention to, with no Draws ever being played in the 8 meetings between these two clubs and the Home team winning every game (VAN 1-0 HOU, VAN 3-0 HOU, HOU 2-0 VAN, VAN 2-1 HOU, HOU 2-1 VAN, VAN 3-1 HOU, VAN 1-0 HOU, HOU 3-1). And, as you can see, the Over is 5-3 in the series, with three straight Clean Sheets also being played. Here, Giles Barnes (4 goals), Will Bruin (3 goals), Andrew Wenger (3 goals) and the Dynamo (3-2-7, 18 GF-20 GA) really seem up against it with a pathetic 0-0-6 (5 GF-12 GA) Road Record this year and an 0-0-5 (2 GF-10 GA) lifetime MLS Record here in Vancouver.

So backing GK David Ousted, Pedro Morales (6 goals), Kekuta Manneh (4 goals), Costa Rican native Christian Bolaños (4 goals) and Vancouver (6-2-6, 22 GF-24 GA)—coming off a tough a physical Loss at Portland on Sunday—here is recommended, even with the Whitecaps (4-2-1, 11 GF-6 GA at Home) now without Japanese import sensation Masato Kudo—who broke his Jaw in the Loss to the Timbers and now require Surgery.

The Weather for Vancouver on Saturday afternoon calls for Rain Showers (40% chance) with some Sunshine later in the day, a High of 62° with WSW Winds of 5-10 mph. So, maybe a little wetter and heavier (slower) play if it does Rain, making suggesting the Over too hard, but with a Polytan playing surface and a Retractable Roof at BC Place, this Site is well-equipped (and used to) the heavy Rains in the Pacific Northwest.

With the Dynamo having never won here and having not won on the Road yet this year as we hit the Memorial Day Weekend, it’s obvious who to take here and the only question is, “For how much?”

New York Red Bulls FC vs. Toronto FC, Red Bull Arena, New Jersey, Saturday, 7 p.m. ET
Toronto FC (4-4-4, 14 GF-12 GA) is well-versed on the Road (3-2-3, 9 GF-7 GA) this season but Sebastian Giovinco (8 goals) and the Reds currently have Striker Jozy Altidore (Hamstring) Injured and Out right now and Will Johnson (2 goals) is the only other TFC player with multiple goals.

And with Bradley Wright-Phillips (5 goals), Mike Grella (4 goals), Felipe (3 goals) and New York coming off a record-setting 7-0 Win against NYCFC at Yankee Stadium in the Big Apple Derby last weekend, expect the hosts to be brimming with Confidence and ready to defend the Home turf after starting the season off on a sour note.

The Home team is 5-1-1 in the L7 meetings in this series and the Reds shut out the Red Bulls, 2-0 here in Week 1 this season, so some Revenge may be served up by the hosts this time around. The Weather Forecast for Harrison, New Jersey on Saturday (night) calls for a few Clouds, a Low around 65° with light and variable Winds, so it should be perfect in the late afternoon leading into the night and this looks like ideal conditions (for a change this chilly and damp Spring in North America).

The Red Bulls are an eye-opening 9-1-2 (31 GF-9 GA) lifetime against Toronto FC at Home but one of those Losses and one of those Draws came in the L4 meetings here in the supposed friendly confines of Red Bull Arena the Garden State.

New England Revolution vs. Seattle Sounders, Gillette Stadium, Massachusetts, Saturday, 7:30 p.m. EDT
The New England Revolution (2-7-4, 17 GF-24 GA) have had a miserable start this season, but luckily for Revs fans, this club just picked up Kei Kamara (5 goals) from the Columbus Crew and luckily for them they play in the weaker Eastern Conference. Juan Agudelo (3 goals) and New England (2-4-1, 9 GF-8 GA at Home) will be facing a Seattle (4-1-6, 10 GF-13 GA) side which has scored a conference-low 10 goals all season—RBNY had 7 in 90 minutes of play against NYCFC in Rivalry Week.

The Weather Forecast for Foxborough on Saturday evening calls for Partly Cloudy conditions (60% chance Rain) in the evening with a Low around 60° with W Winds around 7 mph and 84% Humidity, so hopefully the Rain waits for after the game as the Forecast reports. The L5 meetings (SEA 3-0 NE, NE 5-0 SEA, SEA 0-0 NE, NE 2-2 SEA, NE 1-2 SEA) reveals three straight Clean Sheets with the visitors failing to score in this series since 2012.

So with a 3-Hour Body Clock difference from PDT to EDT, some 3,052 miles of Travel between the Emerald City and Bradyville and Clint Dempsey (2 goals), Jordan Morris (4 goals) and Seattle (0-1-3, 3 GF-8 GA on Road) having scored just thrice on the Road this season, the Under seems like the most logical lean as trusting the Revolution is something only Prince would have done. The Sounders are 1-1-3 (6 GF-13 GA) lifetime in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and are considerably down from last year’s squad.

This one looks like either an Under soccer pick or a complete Stay-Away.

Columbus Crew vs. Real Salt Lake, Mapfre Stadium, Ohio, Saturday, 7:30 p.m. EDT
The L5 meetings (RSL 2-2 CLB, CLB 1-1 RSL, RSL 4-0 CLB, CLB 2-0 RSL, RSL 0-2 CLB) in this series reveals two straight Draws and no real recent pattern although like most MLS (and Soccer), the Home sides have fared better in this series.

Even though the Crew (2-2-1, 10 GF-9 GA at Home) still have Federico Higuain (3 goals), losing Kei Kamara will probably hurt this team’s overall Offensive production in the long run and after winning at Kansas City vs. SKC in Week 12, Joao Plata (4 goals) and RSL are feeling pretty strong.

Although Real Salt Lake has only one Win lifetime the Ohio capital (1-2-7, 8 GF-19 GA), this is a different season and Columbus is definitely down while RSL (2-2-3, 11 GF-13 GA) on Road) is up this season and plays in the more competitive Western Conference. The Weather Forecast for Columbus on Saturday night calls for scattered Showers, a Low of 64° with SSE Winds around 5 mph and a 50% chance of Rain, so potentially slower play than under ideal (and dry) conditions.

Taking a shot at the visitors and the (perceived) value-laden plus in the Draw No Bet Marketplace (RSL +175, Paddy Power) seems very wise in this particular spot as a normally scared Road club won’t be scared heading in here, despite the 2-Hour Time Difference between Utah (MDT) and Ohio (EDT) and fairly significant Travel involved.

Montréal Impact vs LA Galaxy, Saputo Stadium, Montréal, Saturday, 8 p.m. EDT
With Impact de Montréal being so new to the MLS, these two clubs have only met four times (LA 0-0 MTL, MTL 2-2 LA, LA 1-0 MTL, MTL 1-1 LA) with three draws—including both meetings here in Canada—having been played and three Unders in games averaging only 1.75 gpg.

The Weather Channel Weather Forecast for Montréal on Saturday night calls for Partly to Mostly Cloudy Skies with Scattered Thunderstorms before Midnight (50% chance Rain), a Low of 64° with light and variable SSW Winds around 5 mph, so, some precipitation looks like it will be prevalent and the number of goals normally expected out of such prolific scorers like the Impact’s Ignacio Piatti (7 goals), Dominic Oduro (4 goals) and Drogba (4 goals) and the Galaxy’s Giovanni dos Santos (5 goals), Mike Magee (4 goals), Robbie Keane (4 goals) and Gyasi Zardes (4 goals) may be stymied by Mother Nature.

And with these two teams having played 7 Draws in their L12 games combined overall, taking a shot on the Draw as offered on the soccer odds board seems worth it in this one as this one could very well end up with a 0-0, 1-1 or 2-2 scoreline.

Chicago Fire vs. Portland Timbers, Toyota Park, Illinois, Saturday, 8:30 p.m. EDT
The L5 meetings (POR 1-0 FIRE, POR, 1-1 FIRE, FIRE 2-2 POR, POR 2-1 FIRE, FIRE 0-1 POR) in this inter-conference series reveals little but a deep dive into the Lifetime MLS series between these two reveals that Kennedy Igboananike (4 goals), David Accam (2 goals) and the host Fire (2-4-5, 9 GF-13 GA) have never defeated the defending MLS-champion Timbers (4-3-6, 21 GF-24 GA) in MLS play, going 0-2-4 (6 GF-11 GA) in six lifetime dates.

And although Portland is winless on the Road this season (0-2-4, 6 GF-2 GA) and will be losing 2 Body Clock Hours flying the 2,121 miles west from Portland, Oregon (PDT) to Chicago, Illinois (CDT), the defending MLS champion Timbers looked very good in a 4-2 win over Vancouver at Providence Park in Week 12 and look to be gaining some Momentum.

The Weather Forecast for Bridgeview (suburban Chicago) on Saturday evening is predicting Partly Cloudy conditions with a Low of 66° with SSW Winds of 10-15 mph, so, very Chicago-y and normal for May but something Fanendo Adi (8 goals), Jack McInerney (4 goals) and Nat Borchers (1 goal) and Portland should be used to playing the in the often rainy City of Roses on the Pacific Coast.

Colorado Rapids vs. Philadelphia Union, Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, Colorado, Saturday, 9 p.m. EDT
The Philadelphia Union (5-3-3, 19 GF-17 GA) surprisingly found themselves in 1st place in the Eastern Conference to start the week and here CJ Sapong (5 goals), Chris Pontius (4 goals) and Sebastien Le Toux (2 goals) will be playing the team in 1st place in the Western Conference, Jermaine Jones (3 goals) and the surprise Colorado Rapids (8-3-2, 16 GF-9 GA) and GK Zac MacMath—a club which has allowed the least number of goals in the MLS and which has four 1-0 Wins here already (in 6 matches) at Home at The Dick (6-0-0, 10 GF-2 GA) against four very good teams (LA, TOR, RSL, SKC).

The Rapids are 3-4-1 (14 GF-10 GA) lifetime in MLS play against the Union and 1-1-1 (8 GF-6 GA) here in the fresh air of the Rocky Mountains where it rains Coors beer. The Union won the last meeting here (2-1 in 2013) while the L2 (in Philly) both ended in Draws (0-0, 3-3) but the Rapids have improved much and are playing the best they have in maybe the franchise’s history with Defense being the club’s calling card... and GK Tim Howard (Everton) will be joining up this Summer in July.

The Weather Forecast for Commerce City on Saturday night calls for a few Clouds, a Low of 66° with SSW Winds of 10-15 mph, so, nothing out of the ordinary except possibly a little Windy. The Union will be travelling from the EDT Time Zone to MDT, therefore losing two hours—and besides Philadelphia playing its 2nd Road game in the L4 days (at OCSC on Wednesday) and doing so at 5,280 feet of Elevation, some of the external factors seem to favor Colorado in this spot.

San José Earthquakes vs. FC Dallas, Avaya Stadium, California, Saturday, 19:30 p.m. EDT
FC Dallas (8-2-4, 23 GF-21 GA) begins the week in 2nd place in the rugged Western Conference of the MLS and with a 3-0-4 (10 GF-16 GA) Road mark, it’s apparently either Feast or Famine for Michael Barrios (5 goals), Maximiliano Urruti (4 goals), Fabian Castillo (3 goals), Mauro Diaz (2 goal) and this club away from the Lone Star State this season.

The Earthquakes (5-4-3, 16 GF-15 GA) and striker Chris Wondolowski (7 goals) have had a decent start and San José is 5-1-0 here at Home at Avaya Stadium (10 GF-3 GA) and will be in a foul mood after playing the LA Galaxy to a 1-1 Draw in the California Clásico during the league’s first Rivalry Week this season last weekend.

FC Dallas has done well (21-13-16, 82 GF-62 GA) lifetime in this series in MLS play and the Quakes are winless in their L6 against this team and really due for a Win, meaning a Draw is a distinct possibility here. Lean hosts for your soccer pick.

NYCFC vs. Orlando SC, Yankee Stadium, New York, Sunday, 4 p.m. EDT
Kaká vs. David Villa? Let’s get crazy, let’s get nuts. With Orlando City having just expanded into the MLS in 2015, the two clubs have only played four times with the visitors scoring in all four games (NYCFC 0-1 OCSC, OCSC 2-1 NYCFC, NYCFC 5-3 OCSC, OCSC 1-1 NYCFC) with the Both Teams To Score ‘Yes’ at 3-1 in those matches and Cyle Larin (6 goals), Kevin Molino (4 goals), Kaká (2 goals) and Orlando City 2-1-1 in the four meetings over NYCFC and 2015 European league imports Villa (8 goals, La Liga), Frank Lampard (EPL) and Andrea Pirlo (Serie A), who recently said many MLS players lack some of the fundamentals prevalent in the game in Europe and that there is way too much running. And the former Juventus captain would know.

Here, NYCFC (4-5-4, 18 GF-24 GA) and Thomas McNamara (3 goals) will look to rebound after getting smashed here at Home in Yankee Stadium in the Big Apple Derby (7-0) last weekend by their local rivals, the New York Red Bulls who showed no mercy in the record-setting romp.

The Weather Forecast for The House That Ruth Built and The Bronx for Sunday afternoon calls for the warmest conditions of all of the 11 matches we’ve looked at in this weekly Rundown with a TWC Forecast of cloudy condition with occasional Rains (60% chance Rain), a High of 82° with E Winds around 10-15 mph. NYCFC (1-4-2, 7 GF-14 GA at Home) had given up just 7 Home goals heading into the embarrassment against the Red Bulls, and backing the Over again here is strongly recommended with all of these realities:

This potential Weather, this group of productive players and the fact these two teams are still playing Soccer in the tighter confines of a stadium configured for Major League Baseball. Orlando City SC will be coming in here off just 3 Days of Rest (Thursday-Friday-Saturday) after hosting the Philadelphia Union on Wednesday night in the Sunshine State. Goals, goals, goals.
