We've got a battle between two of the top three teams in the Eastern Conference set to kick off this weekend. What's the right soccer pick?
Odds Overview

The soccer odds obviously vary depending on where you look, but the Red Bulls are the favorites at nearly every sportsbook out there.

The numbers fluctuate from as low as -108 at Pinnacle to as high as -125 at Bookmaker. Bet365 has them listed at a comfortable -118. The Impact meanwhile are listed as anywhere from +260 at Ladbrokes to +333 at Bet365.

New York Red Bulls

The Red Bulls have had a long time to think about what all went wrong after a 2-0 loss to the Colorado Rapids on July 4th.

Feeling good about themselves after a 2-0 home win over the Houston Dynamo, New York couldn't get anything going against the Rapids.

With only seven total shots, one of which was on goal, the Red Bulls had a hard time breaking down Colorado's defense. Chances were hard to find overall, but the Rapids most definitely made the most of theirs.

We know who to watch out in New York's camp.

Thierry Henry may be getting up there in age, but his quality is still there and he leads the Red Bulls with six goals. Then there's Tim Cahill, who has four goals and two assists on the season, while Jamison Olave and Fabian Espindola both have four goals as well.

Montreal Impact

What a season it's been for the Impact up until this point. They're in first place in the Eastern Conference and have two games in hand on the three teams behind them in the standings.

However, the last three weeks or so have been more tricky for the conference leaders. Montreal hasn't won in any of their three most recent fixtures, which includes draws with Toronto and Chivas and a loss to Colorado.

It was a disappointing result against Chivas this past weekend, even though it could have been worse. The Impact were on their way to losing until a converted penalty from Patrice Bernier in the 80th minute.

You better believe Montreal will come out with fire this weekend, especially Marco Di Vaio, who was unable to add to his impressive tally of goals against Chivas.

The Italian striker is 36 years old, but has scored 11 goals in his second season in the MLS. That puts him tops in Major League Soccer alongside Chicago's Mike Magee. Will Di Vaio make the headlines on Saturday? Should you add him to your soccer picks?

MLS Pick

It's not easy to pass up such an attractive price on the Impact. This is a team that's in first place in the Eastern Conference, one that's only lost four times this season.

But, the Red Bulls are favored for a reason. They'll be at home, where they've gone 5-2-2 with a plus-six goal differential, and will be out for blood after that rough showing against the Rapids. New York is also one of the most well-known teams in American soccer, so of course they're going to get a little extra love from the sportsbooks.

But we can't help but think the Impact will make life extremely difficult for New York. In the end, we think they'll get at least a draw out of this fixture, which would be a very positive result for the visitors and a good addition to your sports picks
