Is taking the host Dynamo at the short price worth consideration here or can we expect Gerrard and Keane to lead LA to its first victory away from home. Let’s examine the odds & make some picks.

Odds Overview
LA Galaxy at Houston Dynamo [Sunday 02:00] (MLS Live, ROOT Sports SW, TWCSN-LA (USA); beIN Sports Australia, beIn Sports CONNECT Australia (AUS) 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT): The LA Galaxy (9-7-6, 36 GF-25 GA) head to BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston on Saturday night to face the Houston Dynamo (6-6-8, 24 GF-26 GA) in this crucial Western Conference match between the conference’s 2nd-, and 9th-place teams. The talented and rising Galaxy—who saw former Liverpool star Steven Gerrard score in his first game with the club on Friday night in a win over the San Jose Earthquakes—are the only team in the Western Conference without a win and one of two (Chicago Fire) in the MLS who can claim that sad distinction as we head into Week 23 play, the last week for before the All-Star break and game against Tottenham Hotspur at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado—home of the Colorado Rapids—on Wednesday, July 29 (FOX Sports 1, UniMás, TSN, RDS, 9 p.m. ET/7 p.m. MT/6 p.m. PT).

Soccer odds makers have made the visiting Galaxy +125 favorites here over the host Dynamo (+187) with the Draw priced at +229 (bet365). The Total Goals here has been set at 2½, with the Over at -117 and the Under both priced at -105 (bet365). Some Props wagers for this weekend game from 4th largest city in the US: Both Teams To Score: ‘Yes’ -150, ‘No’ +110 (bet365); Draw No Bet: Houston +110, LA Galaxy -150 (bet365); and, To Win To Nil: Dynamo +450, Galaxy +333 (bet365).

Houston Dynamo
In Week 22 MLS play, the Houston Dynamo (4-3-3 at Home, 17 GF-14 GA) were defeated by Real Salt Lake at Rio Tinto Stadium, 2-0. On the attack, the Dynamo are led by leading-scorer  Will Bruin (8 goals)—who has created all his goals from a minimal number of shots—Giles Barnes (6 goals),Ricardo Clark (4 goals), Óscar Boniek García (2 goals), Nathan Sturgis (1 goal) and Raúl Rodríguez (1 goal) and while the Dynamo defense is held down by star midfielder Brad Davis, just-named All-Star Defender DaMarcus Beasley and GK Tyler Deric. Houston (100/1 to win MLS Cup, bet365) has played 7 straight games (in all competitions, including US Open Cup) in which there have been 2 goals or less scored (2-2-2-1-2-2-2) and 9 of the L10 Dynamo contests have seen less than 2 or less goals scored. So, we bet another Under right? Wrong, butter breath. And here’s why...

Current Form, Series Trends, Conclusions
Lifetime in this series, the LA Galaxy are 10-6-8 (26 GF-23 GA), but here in Houston at BBVA Compass Stadium and Bruce Arena’s team is just 4-2-5 (9 GF-12 GA) and has scored only 9 Goals in 11 Games in Houston. Not prolific. At all. So can we really expect the LA Galaxy to break this mold on Saturday night with Keane and Gerrard playing their 2nd MLS game together and first in enemy territory? I think so. The two are that electric and the Wisdom and valuable Experience both have gained through the years playing European soccer (football) will continue to show, as it has when past guys like Thierry Henry (RBNY) and David Beckham (LA Galaxy) came across the proverbial pond and started strutting their stuff. Then toss in guys like Zardes, Juninho, Gordon, Lletget, Husidic, Ishizaki, Robbie Rogers and Omar Gonzalez, and this roster is stacked and can’t help but be scoring goals, goals, goals, Elvis, and making their and Over backers some money in the process. Houston (Current Form—DWLLDWL) is historically a tough place to win in the MLS, but the LA Galaxy (Current Form: DWWLWWW) have to get their first Road win sometime if they want to be champs again, and here in Houston with Irishman Keane and Englishman Gerrard clicking, look for them to do so.

Predicted Final Score: Houston Dynamo 1 LA Galaxy 2

MLS Soccer Pick: Over 2½ -117, LA Galaxy Draw No Bet -150, LA Galaxy +125, Both Teams To Score (‘Yes’) -150 (bet365)
