Social media was flooded Tuesday with memes and posts by fans frustrated with down sites and long online queues on movie ticket websites.

It seem every Avengers fan on Earth and maybe a few guardians of the galaxy assembled online Tuesday to buy tickets to “Avengers: Endgame” -- and killed the internet.

OK, they only took out the movie ticket sits from Fandango, Atom Tickets to AMC Movies. We haven’t seen any specific numbers -- just generalized statements from Atom saying presales were triple the amount for “Infinity Wars.”

Marvel announced the news that tickets were on sale at 8:02 a.m. and in 5, 4, 3, 2 … you know where we’re going with this.

A few hours later AMC went on Twitter to announce its site had crashed. Memes posted by wannabe ticket buys went up all over social media lamenting wait times and inability to even get in the queue for tickets. Some sat in a cyberspace line for an hour or longer.

"We want everyone to be able to grab their Avengers: Endgame tickets, but it looks like we've gotten Thanos' snap," AMC's sofficial Twitter account said at 11:03 a.m. “We're working on getting things back up and running, and in the meantime, please keep trying our website and our partner sites!”

And just in case fans weren't already whipped into a frenzy, Marvel also released what they called a “Special Look” video that looked pretty similar to the latest trailer.

About the same time all this was happening a few of SBR’s fave sportsbooks posted odds on bets regarding how big the movie’s box office was going to be and what Avengers would live to assemble again.

Those bets can be found on BetOnline, Bovada and MyBookie – more on that later.

If you needed your memory refreshed, when Thanos got the last stone for his Infinity Gauntlet in “Avengers: Infinity War” half of the universe’s population disappeared into ash.

Per usual, the last video/trailer was dissected frame by frame with a record number of detailed analysis paragraphs posted on several fan and news sites.

What they’ve determined (look away if you don’t want to read any speculation spoilers!!):

  • It looks as if the Avengers take to space to fight Thanos.
  • If they don’t wrest the stones away, they may have to go back in time to ensure he never gets them in the first place.
  • Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Captain America (Chris Evans) seem to be back on the same page and seal the deal with a swoon-worthy handshake.
  • Prepare to see several of your fave Avengers possibly retire or even die by the end of this movie (like you weren't expecting THAT!).

And that brings us back to the wagers on Bovada and MyBookie.

We think Iron Man high-tech heart will beat it’s last beat. Sigh, poor Pepper Potts. We think Captain American will “retire’ and Bucky Barnes will carry the shield. And Tho will live – how much heartache can we take?

As for box office, we’re going big across the board.

AntMan will takeout Thanos .. if only for the visual of something small taking out something so big and powerful.

And finally, if we see Deadpool, it will be after the credits .. like a sweet, sweary surprise.

Oh, and by the way, we got our tickets – we hope you did too.
