The 2018 FIFA World Cup kicks off from Russia in less than four months, and 5Dimes has posted futures odds for the Golden Boot winner, awarded to the event's highest goal-scorer. Let’s see who’s priced where and come up with some value picks.

Soccer: 2018 FIFA World Cup Golden Boot Winner Odds

The World Cup is scheduled for June 14-July 15 in 11 cities throughout Russia as 32 teams -- including defending champion and current odds favorite Germany (+450, 5Dimes) -- will look to win the most coveted trophy in sports over the 64-match span. Iceland (100/1 to reach World Cup final, 5Dimes) and Panama (250/1) will make their first appearances in the event.

In addition to the World Cup trophy, the Golden Boot is awarded to the top goal-scorer. The 2014 winner was Colombia's James Rodríguez (66/1 to win 2018 Golden Boot, 5Dimes), who finished the tourney with six goals. Germany's Thomas Müeller (25/1) snagged the Silver Boot with five goals, and Brazil's Neymar (10/1) earned the Bronze Boot with four goals.

Longshots Worth a Look

Two current 100/1 Golden Boot longshots are Germany’s Leon Goretzka and Belgium’s Kevin De Bruyne. Goretzka, who has six goals in 12 appearances for the German National Team since 2014, might earn a reputation for getting clutch goals for Die Mannschaft. Meanwhile, De Bruyne will be surrounded by a bevy of scorers on the talented Belgium team, but he always seems to be on the pitch, in front of the goal and in spots for tap-ins and easy scores.

Non-Longshots with Potential Value

Prolific striker Gonzalo Higuaín (33/1 to win Golden Boot, 5Dimes) of Argentina has 31 goals in 68 appearances for La Albiceleste. With Messi (9/1) running the show for Argentina, backing Higuaín (14 goals for Juventus, 2017-18) and/or teammate Paulo Dybala (33/1; 14 goals for Juventus, 2017-18) seems worth it from this distance.

Free Golden Boot Picks: Paulo Dybala (Argentina) +3300; Gonzalo Higuaín (Argentina) +3300

Free Golden Boot Longshot Picks: Kevin De Bruyne (Belgium) +10000; Leon Goretzka (Germany) +10000
