On The Football Analytics Show, Matthew Holt of CG Technologies, the man who sets the markets in Nevada, joins host Ed Feng of The Power Rank for a wide ranging conversation.

Both Holt and Feng spoke at the first International Football Betting Conference in August, 2017.  They reunite to discuss how both analytics and subjective adjustments are used to set the market.

Holt starts by telling his story, which involved using software to completely revamp data collection on injuries.  Now, every opening market value gets approved by him.  This makes Friday during college basketball season a long day.

The most fascinating part of the conversation was about how Holt makes subjective adjustments to the numbers.  He discusses whether it's harder to analyze a team on the rise or on the fall, a relevant topic in college football every year.

Finally, Holt talks about the markets he feels like have the most value, and he gives the insane odds to bet the New York Jets under 4.5 wins this preseason.
