The big match in the Premier League this weekend is the clash between Man City & Liverpool, and Nigel Seeley expects lots of goals. Let's break down the betting odds and choose some soccer picks.

Manchester City vs. Liverpool FC
There is no question that the biggest match in the Premier League this weekend is the clash from the Etihad between table toppers Manchester City and Liverpool.

The big matches don't usually live up to the pre-match expectation, but this one promises to be a real classic, and one thing I'm certain we will see is a fair few goals.

The best way to make money in this match-up is to ignore the match betting as it's hard to find a real edge on those betting odds and concentrate solely on the goals markets and the first bet and the best bet in this match is on both teams scoring.

Both teams have now scored in the last seven home matches for City, and also in seven of the last eight matches in all competitions for Liverpool, and at 1.80 with Bet365, that really does look a cracking betting pick.

These two sides have some of the leagues best attacking players in their ranks, but defensively, well, they are both all over the place and that has also been the case in the last seven meetings between the two, where both teams to score as a "yes" has been a winner in every one.

Vincent Kompany misses the match through injury, and whenever the City captain is missing, they always concede and I fancy that to continue.

In their last seven matches, 27 goals have been scored, averaging 3.85 goals per game and over 2.5 goals has been a winner in every single match. At the same price, 1.80, this time with BetVictor, that's another way to get with goals in a match-up that promises bundles of them.

Game Odds Overview
The match betting isn't something that I really can get too excited about with both looking to bounce back after disappointing results in the Premier League in their last fixture.

City have had the best of it in recent years with a seven match unbeaten run with Liverpool's last success in the blue half of Manchester in 2008 and that are rightly installed as the 1.70 favourites with William Hill.

Liverpool suffered their first defeat under Jurgen Klopp with a shock 2-1 defeat at home to Crystal Palace just before the international break, and even at 5.75 with BetVictor, I'm not interested in them winning at a ground where only West Ham have come away from the Premier League this season with maximum points.

The draw is the best they could hope for, which is big at 4.10 with BetVictor, and with three 2-2 draws in the last seven meetings, the "desmond" at 18.0 with BetVictor again isn't the worst wager in the world.

Raheem Sterling will be the target for the Liverpool boo-boys with the England international up against his former club for the first time, and he's 3.0 with Betfred to score at anytime against his old employees, and his fellow England international James Milner, who made the move in the opposite direction in the summer, is 7.0 to score in the game with Coral.

Those are intriguing sub-plots to what promises to be a decent clash, and my advice will be to get stuck into the goals and cheer on a whole host of them in the Saturday late kick-off.
