Two straight defeats have Real Madrid in a very precarious position. They must bounce back this weekend and should be able to do so at home to Rayo Vallecano. We've got our soccer odds report, along with a pick, inside.

Odds Overview
It's a little absurd just how lopsided the soccer betting odds for this Saturday's match the Bernabeu. Los Blancos are at -2600 to win outright, with Rayo available at +1600 and a draw listed in the +1000 range.

Real Madrid
Everything was going swimmingly for Los Blancos, but they've now suffered back-to-back defeats in the league, seriously hindering their chances of finishing atop the La Liga.

It started, of course, with that thrilling 4-3 home loss to Barcelona last weekend. In arguably the best match of the entire season, it was back-and-forth throughout, with Messi's late penalty ending up being the difference.

Then, during the week, Los Blancos again had nothing to show for their efforts, losing 2-1 away to Sevilla. Cristiano Ronaldo had put Madrid up early, but Carlos Bacca scored a goal in each half and the visitors couldn't get anything else in the back of the net.

What that means is Madrid is now three points back of league-leading Atletico and two behind Barcelona.

Returning to the Bernabeu should be welcome relief for Los Blancos though, regardless of the fact they fell to the Catalans their last time there. Overall on the season they've won 12 out of 14 matches, with a staggering goal differential of +31.

Rayo Vallecano
The Red Sashes are playing their best soccer of the season, there's no doubt about that. They've put together a five-match unbeaten run domestically ahead of Saturday's visit to Madrid.

The results have been inspiring for Rayo. They've beaten Valencia, Real Sociedad, Almeria and Osasuna and have drawn with Real Valladolid. The victory over Real Sociedad came away from home no less.

The latest victory came over Osasuna, with Joaquin Larrivey's late penalty guiding the hosts to the crucial three points. The Red Sashes deserved the spoils, considering they generated far more chances and dominated possession for the most part.

This surge in form has helped Rayo create a cushion between them and the relegation zone and it looks like they've done enough to avoid a drop-down, something we weren't too sure we'd be saying just over a month ago.

In spite of their improvement, the Red Sashes have struggled overall when playing away from home, recording four wins, three draws and eight defeats while logging 13 goals for and 33 against. They've been playing well, but this could still get really ugly against a Madrid team out for blood.

La Liga Pick
Despite Madrid's recent setbacks and Rayo's improved play of late, we foresee no other result but a convincing victory for the home side.

It's been an incredibly tough week for Los Blancos, but this match should improve morale around camp. Carlo Ancelotti's team has been excellent at the Bernabeu throughout the season, scoring 45 goals in 14 matches, and we don't think they'll be slowing down this weekend.

As for our soccer picks, we'd be best served taking Madrid to win by three or more goals. That's the only way we're not sacrificing a lot of chalk and it still has a great chance of coming through, given Los Blancos' ability to put the ball in the back of the net with reckless abandon.

Pick: Real Madrid 4 Rayo Vallecano 0
