We’re heading back to Spain and La Liga to collect some money when Real Madrid take on UD Almeria this coming Saturday and your Humble Handicapper sees an ole lot of ca$h to be won at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu.

Real Madrid survived a slight score on Tuesday night when they saw a determined display from Borussia Dortmund, you Humble Handicapper know fine well that they would make it through to the semi finals for the fourth consecutive year but the German outfit made them work for it.

Real Madrid now sit at 5/2, second favourites to win the Champions League behind 7/4 Bayern Munich, who play Man Utd tonight.

Enough with the Champions League…WHERE’S THEMONEY MIKE?
Over in the Spanish top flight Real Madrid sit third, just three points behind league leaders Atlético Madrid and two behind 2nd place Barca (all teams have played 32 games). This is as good a time as any to let you know that the bets soccer odds on this season’s La Liga winner have Barca at 4/5, Real Madrid at 11/4 and Atlético Madrid at 7/2.

Enough with the league…WHERE’S THEMONEY MIKE?
Straight to the basics then, Real Madrid winning is at 1/16, the draw is at 14/1 and Almeria winning is way out at 33/1. Clearly Madrid are going to come out on top in this one. If you're unsure about what that means your Humble Handicapper can tell you that the best soccer odds on Real winning both halves are as tight as 1/4, while America coming out on top over the half time/ full time odds run as high as 125/1 (on Almeria winning both halves).  If you want to go wild, and back something on Half Time / Full Time the only thing (other than the obvious Real/Real) worth a punt is Draw/Real  at 4/1, but if you feel an upset is on the cards you can get odds of 50/1 on Real/Draw, but loose change only please.

Real Madrid have put 13 goals past Almeria in their last two encounters, so why not throw some small money around on a big fat correct score bet. 6-0 is worth a punt at best soccer odds of 18/1, and likewise 5-0 at 12/1.

The only question is; will Almeria get a goal?
They have scored in four of their last five games, eight goals in total (that’s two per game that they score in) but six of their goals came in home games, they’ve scored just once in their last two away games.

Madrid have kept two clean sheets in their last five games, but have outscored their opposition  13-4. That would average out around 3-1 available at best soccer odds of 12/1. However, when they play at home they are tighter, and looking at their last two league games they have outscored the opposition 8-0. You might like a cheeky punt on 8-0 at 80/1, but your Humble Handicapper thinks it'll be a bit lighter than that.

Prediction: Real Madrid win 4-0 available at best soccer odds of 9/1 with BetVictor.
