La Liga Betting: Malaga vs. Villarreal

It’s another one of those games where’s there’s very little point in foreplay, so we’ll get straight to the money wining point.

Enough with not wasting time…WHERE’S THE MONEY MIKE?
The bookies like Villarreal wining this one the best at 6/4, the best soccer odds on a Malaga win is at 19/10 and the draw is offered up at 9/4. It’s quite tight odds, so your Humble Handicapper is going to do that thing that he doesn’t often do, back a draw.

You can pick up odds of the game going Under 1.5 goals at 15/8, but as we haven’t seen a single clean sheet once in the last five meetings between these sides I'd say stay away from that bet and instead back both sides to score at best soccer odds of 5/6.You you think that’s utter rot and want to go right the other way why not back 0-0 at 17/2, but don’t come running to me when bookie Bob breaks your legs.

This is also a good time to try and beat the bookies as they reckon the most obvious results when either side wins is them winning 1-0. Villarreal winning 1-0 is at 7/1, Malaga winning 1-0 is at 8/1, but I'm not putting my wife’s housekeeping money on either of those bets.

It’s tight as a tight thing trying to see between these sides.
The bookies are conflicted like a collection of conflicted things here, Villarreal wining 2-1 is at 10/1, but Malaga winning by the same score is at 11/1.  In fact there’s so little in it that your Humble Handicapper predicts (if) we see a winner, it will be by a single goal.

We’ve had two 1-1 draws in the last four meetings between these two sides and if you add all the goals together from the last four games it’s 5 goals for Malaga and five for Villarreal. That screams score draw to your Humble Handicapper. Also Malaga haven’t drawn in their last five matches and Villarreal have only drawn once in their last five, so both sides are due a shared result.

Both sides have both scored in four of their last five games, but rarely many. The bookies have the best soccer odds on both sides scoring at 5/6 (but the Not runs at 10/11). Your Humble Handicapper sees goals but no winner in this match so back both sides to score.

Malaga have a slightly better form at present with three wins and two draws (aka undefeated in five) while Villarreal have two wins, two losses and a draw in their last five.

Prediction: The game ends drawn 1-1 available at best soccer odds of 6/1 with BetVictor.
