Spain means money to your Humble Handicapper and the latest match to catch his money winning eye is Granada vs. Barcelona. If you’d like to join him in winning some money just keep on reading.

It was an early end to their Champions League hopes for Barca when Atletico Madrid knocked them out of the competition on Wednesday night, midfielder Koke's early (and the game’s only) goal gave Madrid a 2-1 aggregate win over the Catalan giants following the 1-1 draw in Barcelona last week. The result puts Atletico into the semi-final of the Champions League for the first time since 1974 (when they made the final but lost to Bayern Munich), and they are now 5/1 (third favourites) to win the Champions League and a repeat of that 1974 final pair is at best soccer odds of 5/1.

Enough with the Champions League…WHERE’S THEMONEY MIKE?
Your Humble Handicapper is expecting Barca to bounce back with a vengeance and the bookies agree with me as they have an away win at ¼. The draw at 11/2 and the home win for Granada is at best soccer odds of 11/1. What's more the bookies have Barca winning both halves at ¾, and the shortest soccer odds on a Granada victory are on the game being drawn on the 45 and Granada's on the 90 but that’s way out on 20/1 and Granada winning both halves is at 25/1. And if you are as daft as next door’s cat you can waste some money backing the game being Barca’s when the half time oranges come out and Granada's come the final whistle at 80/1. But don’t…

It obvious really
In the last five meetings Barca have come out on top each and every time, home or away it doesn't matter. And what’s more they have outscored Granada 14-4, in that run. That averages out to a 3-1 score in Barca’s favour, something offered up by the bookies at 10/1. However, Barca have kept three clean sheets against Granada so maybe you’d like to back Barca winning to nil at 7/5, especially as Granada have only scored once in their last four games. However, Barca haven’t kept a clean sheet for three games and those odds don’t tempt your Humble Handicapper enough, so he’s putting his money elsewhere.

Looking at just the league, Barca have scored three goals in two of their last three games (3-1 to home to Betis and 3-0 at home to Celta) so you might like to back them doing a similar score against Granada. 3-1 is mentioned above and 3-0 is offered up at best soccer odds of 9/1. But Barca away is less threatening than at home. In their last two away matches they have been beaten by Atlético Madrid and only managed a 1-0 win over Espanyol.

Putting it all together….
Barca winning, Barca winning with a clean sheet, but Barca scoring less than 2.5 goals (at 11/5).

Prediction: Barca win 2-0 available at best soccer odds of 15/2 with bet365.
