If you’d like some money yourself why not take a gander at your Humble Handicapper's top soccer tips when Barcelona take on Celta in Spain’s La Liga.

Barcelona needed a win in the crucial clash on Sunday to gain ground on their fierce foes in the race for the La Liga title, while defeat would all but end their title defence. It was a corker of a game with Barca winning 4-3.

Following Sunday’s El Clásico Barcelona are 7/4 to win the Spanish top flight and to put that into some form of perspective before Sunday’s kick-off they were 4/1.

Enough with the title…WHERE’S THE MONEY MIKE?
Looking at the table before we look at anything else, Celta are 12th in the league after 29 games ten positions worse off than Barca.  They’re 36 points behind Barca and they’ve scored 33 but conceded 41 goals this term. That averages out at less than two scored per game, and over 2 conceded.

Looking at the above it’s no surprise that the sportsbooks have the best soccer odds on a Barca win at 1/16, a draw at 16/1 and a Celta win at 30/1. What’s more this looks to be such a one sided encounter that Barcelona winning both halves is at 1/3, while Celta winning any half (Celta/Barca) is at 20/1.

There’s only one side that is going to win this one.
There’s plenty been said about Barcelona, so your Humble Handicapper will tackle this match’s preview by concentrating on Celta. They’ve only won two of their last five games and have failed to find the back of the net in four games, last scoring back in February in a 1-1 draw against Getafe.

To win to nil?
Therefore it’s certainly worth a bet that Barca will win to nil, and in fact they have kept a clean sheet twice in their last four. Barca are 8/13 to win to nil (and not that it matters but, Celta Vigo are 50/1 to do the same). In fact the bookies have three different wins for Barca (all to nil) as they’re favourite correct score odds.

What’s more, discounting the El Clásico match Barca had outscored their opposition 14 -8. 14-8 would translate to a 2-1 victory, that’s available at the best soccer odds of 15/1. However, if you tally up Barca’s last three home games you’ll see that they have outscored the opposition 13-2. That sort of maths would give you either 4-1 or 4-0 to Barca and these scores are available at best soccer odds of 12/1 and 6/1 respectively.

Head to head it’s four wins for Barca out of the last five and just a single draw for Celta to make them smile. That draw did come at home for Celta, but I just can’t see them getting anything from this match.

Barcelona have only kept one clean sheet  in their last five meetings with Celta, but that was in their last meeting and remember that Celta have failed to score in four games.

Prediction: Barcelona win 3-0 available at best soccer odds of 7/1 with BetVictor.
