The Blue Course at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland will host the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. Let's examine the event in our KPMG Women’s PGA Championship picks.

Nelly Korda shot minus-19 to win the first major championship of her career during the 2021 KPMG Women's PGA Championship. Korda earned a three-stroke victory over Lizette Salas, but she ended up nine strokes ahead of the third-place finisher.

Korda is one of the favorites to win the 2022 KPMG Women's PGA Championship with odds of +900, and she's in excellent form despite a lengthy layoff. The 23-year-old came close to winning the Meijer LPGA Classic this past weekend before losing to Jennifer Kupcho in a playoff.

Here are my top picks for the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.

KPMG Women’s PGA Championship Odds

KPMG Women’s PGA Championship: Favorite

Jin Young Ko (+900)

There's no one I trust more on the LPGA and PGA Tour to win a big tournament than Ko. The +900 odds may seem short for a favorite, but she normally trades at around +500 in the outright market.

Ko has been given a more favorable price as a result of Korda's rise and Minjee Lee's recent performance at the U.S. Women's Open. She ranks fourth on the LPGA in strokes gained: total while averaging 2.14.

KPMG Women’s PGA Championship: Contender

Lexi Thompson (+1400)

It's only a matter of time before Thompson wins a tournament given her recent form.

Thompson ranks third while averaging 2.26 SG: total on the LPGA Tour in 2022. She's a high-profile player, and the bright lights of a major championship won't intimidate her. She could have easily been priced at the same level as Lydia Ko (+1000), which is why I favor Thompson at +1400.

KPMG Women’s PGA Championship: Longshot

Bronte Law (+10000)

Law is coming off a huge win at the Aramco Team Series event in England over the weekend. She drained an eagle putt to win on the final hole, edging out Georgia Hall, Charley Hull, and Linn Grant, who just won a DP World Tour event.

FanDuel is offering a shorter price of +7000 for Law.

KPMG Women’s PGA Championship: Matchup

Hannah Green (-115 via DraftKings) vs. Jennifer Kupcho

Kupcho just won the Meijer LPGA Classic, and she's being overvalued as a result. It's common for LPGA lines to suffer because of recency bias, and that's what we're seeing here. Kupcho took that tournament because of her hot putter, and not due to ball-striking.

Green is the superior player in this matchup. Strongly favor her with the matchup priced at -115 each way.

KPMG Women’s PGA Championship: Prop Pick

Top 10: Atthaya Thitikul (+210)

I spent a week at the Meijer LPGA Classic, and Thitikul is much better than I imagined. That's hard to believe considering how highly I regarded her previously.

Her biggest disadvantage during the Meijer LPGA Classic was Thitikul's inexperience and playing the event for the first time. Not everyone will enjoy that advantage over her now during the KPMG Women's PGA Championship. Her price is always too high until Thitikul is priced like one of the world's best players.
