July 4th Picks from SBR's Cappers

Sports are coming back slowly but surely and the Fourth of July is loaded of events with plenty of betting value. In this article, we compiled all the Independence Day picks from our writers.

England Premier League

The race to win the Premier League title is over but spots in European competitions next season and the battle to avoid relegation are heating up.

DaveBets previewed Saturday’s exciting contest between the surprise team of the season Wolverhampton Wanderers and Arsenal. Dave has three soccer picks here:

Match prediction: Wolverhampton Wanderers 1 – Arsenal 1

  • 1.28u wager – Under 2.5 match goals for [-128 1.78] at BetOnline
  • 0.5u wager – Raul Jimenez anytime goalscorer for [+150 2.50]
  • 0.25u wager – Draw [+240 3.40]

He also went over Manchester United-Bournemouth. Man U, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Chelsea and Leicester City are all fighting for third place in the standings. They’re separated by just three points with six games to play. Making every matchup extremely important. These are his picks:

Match prediction: Manchester United 5 – Bournemouth 1

  • 1u wager – Manchester United to win both halves +130 2.30
  • 0.5u wager – Bruno Fernandes anytime goal scorer +170 2.70

Serie A

Juventus has been unstoppable in the Serie A but they lead Lazio by just four points in the battle for first place. Can Juventus overcome Torino in the Derby della Mole? Lazio is also playing well and they have a prolific offense, though they will be without two key players.

Their main strikers Ciro Immobile and Felipe Caicedo are suspended against AC Milan due to an accumulation of yellow cards. Can Lazio find a way to win and not give Juventus a chance to extend their lead? Alex Campean previewed both games and these are his picks:

  • Juventus -1.5 (-119)
  • Lazio-AC Milan Over 2.25 (-137)
  • Parma PK (with Draw No Bet) at +115

K League

Martin Green also shared a prediction for Ulsan Hyundai-Incheon United in South Korea’s K League Week 10 action. Ulsan is coming off a disappointing 2-0 loss against title rivals Jeonbuk but they’re in a great spot to get back on track this Saturday.

They will face a struggling Incheon United team that has just two points after nine games. Ulsan is now four points behind Jeonbuk for first place, so they can’t afford to drop points in a winnable game. This is his pick:

Jason Radowitz has been killing it with his CPBL, KBO and NPB picks this season. LG Twins vs. Samsung Lions is one of the top KBO games for Saturday. Heo Yoon-dong is not pitching well for the Lions as of late and Lim Chan-gyu is coming off two stellar starts. Will this trend continue?

Saturday’s NPB slate includes Hiroshima Carp facing a Hanshin Tigers team with a struggling offense. Hanshin is hitting about .200 as a team and they have just nine home runs (second to last in home runs in the Central). Jason studied Saturday’s card and shared his KBO and NPB predictions.

KBO Picks:

  • LG Twins -130 at BetOnline
  • Kiwoom Heroes -120 at BetOnline
  • NC Dinos -156 at BetOnline

NPB Picks:

  • Hiroshima Carp -180 at BetOnline
  • Yomiuri Giants -185 at BetOnline
  • Lotte Marines-Rakuten Eagles Under 8.5 (-125) at BetOnline

2020 Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest

This year this competition takes place in a private indoor facility with air conditioning and the men and women each will go up against five competitors, rather than the usual 15, to allow for social distancing.

Reigning champions Joey Chestnut and Miki Sudo were able to make it this year so it will still be a very entertaining competitive eating contest.

I previewed the event and shared a value play:
