Only two teams remain in the Gold Cup, with Mexico and Jamaica set to battle it out for all of the glory. Who should we be favoring with our soccer picks this weekend?

Odds Overview
At time of this writing, Mexico was favored at right around -115, with not wiggle room across the major sportsbooks like 5Dimes and Bookmaker. The number seems to have settled and we can't expect to see much more movement; that being said, that doesn't mean you shouldn't keep checking SBRodds.com for the most up-to-date lines out there.

If you believe Jamaica's magical run will continue in the finals, the team can be backed in an appealing range, starting at +350 and going all the way up to +425 or so. The O/U for goals is at two right now, with the OVER (+105) getting a little more love than the UNDER (-125) at this time.

Well, it certainly hasn't been a walk in the park for Mexico so far in the Gold Cup. The Mexicans have been pushed to their limits throughout the competition, but they've dug deep and found a way to book their place in the title game.

The journey started in the group stages, where Mexico drew twice (against Guatemala and Trinidad and Tobago) and beat Cuba 6-0. That was enough to see them through to the knockout round, with their first opponent, Costa Rica, were waiting in the quarter-finals. The Mexicans needed a controversial penalty in the 124th minute to win 1-0 there, and they went through similar dramatics in the semis; they got two late penalties, the last of which was in extra time, to beat a determined Panama side 2-1.

Andres Guardado has been the hero for his country so far, scoring a team-best five goals, although a majority of those have come from the penalty spot. Oribe Peralta has scored three times, while Carlos Vela has found the back of the net on two occasions in the Gold Cup.

Since an opening 2-2 draw versus Costa Rica in the group stages, Jamaica has gone on a serious heater, having picked up four consecutive victories, which includes a 1-0 quarterfinal win over Haiti and an enthralling 2-1 victory over the USA in the semis.

Though classified as underdogs on the soccer betting odds board against the Americans, the Jamaicans were up for the challenge and quickly saw themselves go up 2-0, to the dismay of the hosts and their supporters. Darren Mattocks connected on a terrific header to open the scoring, and Giles Barnes scored on an outstanding free kick just minutes later. From there, Jamaica was able to hold on despite an early second half goal from Michael Bradley and a barrage of other chances down the stretch.

And, here we are. Mexico was widely expected to make it to the final, but Jamaica's inclusion is a surprise, and therefore we can expect the Jamaicans to come out as if they have nothing to lose, like they have been all tournament long.

Gold Cup Pick
Though we've been very impressed indeed with Jamaica, especially in the semi-finals when the soccer odds were against them, we believe Mexico will prove to have too much quality on Sunday.

Truth is, the Mexicans have so many different players who can take over matches and score crucial goals, and they've got the experience and know-how to match Jamaica and more.

Mexico has quickly learned that nothing is going to be handed to them in this competition, and that should help them prepare for what's sure to be another tough test this weekend. That being said, we will be adding the favorites to our collection of soccer picks, particularly since the odds on offer seem more than reasonable.

Soccer Picks: Mexico 2 Jamaica 1 (Mexico win at -116 at 5Dimes)
