How To Watch: Presidential Debate Promises To Be Gloves Off

SECOND DEMOCRATIC DEBATE

WHEN: Tuesday and Wednesday, 8 p.m.

ON TV/STREAMING: CNN on TV, stream at CNN.com and CNN apps; also CBSN for live coverage, plus pre-debate and post-debate analysis

We know who’ll be debating and we’ll know where everyone will be standing. What we don’t know is what the Democratic presidential hopefuls will say during round 2 of the two-evening debates.

Apparently, BetOnline wants us to pay close attention to the debate offering nearly 40 bets concerning what the candidates might say, if President Trump will tweet, what topics will trend, or if The Squad will be mentioned.

News coverage leading up to this second clash of the hopefuls reports that former Vice President Joe Biden will be less “polite’ this go-round.

After what some called a less than stellar performance by Biden, especially after Sen. Kamala Harris confronted him regarding his comments on being able to work with segregationist Democratic senators and his opposition to mandated busing to integrate public schools.

Since then, he’s promised to push back during the debate in Detroit. Actually, several of the wannabe-Presidents have said their gloves are coming off as well.

And that makes sense since this herd needs to be thinned and the only that can occur is if some of the non-frontrunners start getting traction and move up in the polls or take themselves out.

So this could be the last chance for many of these candidates. We’re looking at you Colorado Sen. Michael Bennet, Montana Gov. Steve Bullock, New York Mayor Bill De Blasio, former Maryland Rep. John Delaney, Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, Washington Gov. Jay Inslee, former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke, Ohio Rep. Tim Ryan, author Marianne Williamson and businessman Andrew Yang.

These folk need to make their mark now or they’ll end up on the analysis dais for CNN, MSNBC or another major network at debate number three.

Also hanging by a thread: South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg, New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand and Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar.

And then there are the ones who didn’t make the stage: billionaire Tom Steyer, Massachusetts Rep. Seth Moulton, Miramar (FL) Mayor Wayne Messam and former Pennsylvania Rep. Joe Sestak.

Likely in for a longer haul with Biden and Harris are Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, former HUD Secretary Julian Castro, and New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker.

Hot topics expected to come up on both nights are criminal justice, civil rights and now, keyed off Trump’s tweets regarding the city of Baltimore, the state of our cities and race. Other possible topics, decriminalization of marijuana, opioid abuse, and student debt.

Many of these topics are addressed in the avalanche of wagers offered at BetOnline:
