Extreme Rules is the next WWE pay-per-view. It takes place on July 19th without fans at the WWE Performance Center. We preview three of the matches announced and share the rest of the card and what we can expect.

Most of the event will be held at the WWE Performance Center, with no fans, just like Monday Night Raw, SmackDown, NXT are doing and like WrestleMania 36 and Money in the Bank did. Read a BetOnline review so you can learn more about this sportsbook before placing your WWE bets.

Directions for superstars such as AJ Styles, Matt Riddle, The New Day, Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro have been teased but the current card looks like this:

WWE Champion Drew McIntyre vs. Dolph Ziggler (Stipulation TBD)

Drew McIntyre is having a dominant reign as WWE Champion and it won’t end on Sunday. McIntyre has beaten everyone in his path and who can believe that Ziggler has a chance?

Ziggler was sent to Raw after AJ Styles moved to SmackDown and he debuted confronting McIntyre. These wrestlers two have history together. Ziggler “brought” McIntyre back to the “main roster in 2018 and he thinks that McIntyre’s success is because of him.

Dolph Ziggler is an incredible and talent and WWE has dropped the ball with him. He’s been a midcarder with the occasional championship match. Ziggler was jobbing to Otis recently… there’s no way anyone can buy him as a real threat to McIntyre. I will pass on this because the betting odds will likely have a lot of chalk in McIntyre’s favor.

Raw Women’s Champion Asuka vs. Sasha Banks

Sasha Banks and Bayley have been on all three brands as of late and they’re the best thing going in WWE since the COVID-19 pandemic started in March. Banks and Bayley even won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships recently, giving them the prestige they deserve.

Bayley was already the SmackDown Women’s Champion and Banks cut a promo saying that she also wanted two belts and challenged Asuka for the Raw Women’s Championship.

Asuka is a special talent but she hasn’t had a memorable match since getting the belt the night after Money in the Bank. That will change against Banks. This match can easily steal the show. Keep an eye on Bayley and Kairi Sane, who will likely get involved.

I want Banks to win but I don’t want Asuka to lose… Hopefully there’s a DQ finish so they can continue the feud, although we all know that WWE’s plan is for Banks to eventually turn on Bayley or viceversa.

Rey Mysterio vs. Seth Rollins (Eye for an Eye Match)

Yes, this will be an Eye for an Eye match. According to WWE.com: “a winner can only be determined by extracting the opponent’s eye.” WWE will obviously not go through with this. I expect a No Contest, with Aleister Black or Humberto Carrillo interfering just as Rollins is about to extract Mysterio’s eye.

Rey Mysterio is working with no contract and he’s possibly on his way out of WWE. Rollins has to win this match or at least dominate Rey Mysterio, even if he decides to stay. Seth Rollins has evolved as a heel but he already lost at WrestleMania 36 and at Money in the Bank. He should not lose here, his character needs the win.

Pick: Seth Rollins -150 at BetOnline
