Defending champion will try to overcome the young and talented Kasatkina in tomorrow's semifinals. Join us while we analyze that contest and provide the highest value tennis pick of the match.

Darya Kasatkina (q) vs Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova
It wasn’t an easy match for Carla Suarez Navarro, as we predicted in our quarterfinals pick, however we weren’t expecting Darya Kasatkina to crush the Spaniard in two easy sets.

The 18 years old was just outstanding, overplaying Navarro from the baseline with her consistent game. Carla ended the match with 6 winners / 26 unforced errors while Kasatkina got 15 winners / 15 unforced errors. Darya comes from qualifying and is just one triumph away from the decisive match.

Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova extended her winning streak to eight matches after an easy victory over Margarita Gasparyan by 6 – 1 6 – 3. Anastasia already showed some signs of fatigue this week, but has been able to emerge victorious match after match. In first match she just gave up on second set against Monica Niculescu, losing that set by 0 – 6 in order to save energy for the third set.

Pavlyuchenkova is defending champion and her record on this event in past three years it just impressive with 11 wins and just 1 loss against Simona Halep in 2013 at semifinals.

Despite the easy victory against Gasparyan, it won’t be an easy match for Pavlyuchenkova against Kasatkina. Darya is playing very consistent tennis and Anastasia already showed difficulties to keep a consistent level.

It’s not only the physical fatigue that can affect a player, the mental fatigue is also extremely hard to overcome and Pavlyuchenkova will have to deal with it. Anastasia will play her 13th match in three weeks, with travels between the tournaments from China to Austria and Austria to Russia.

Pavlyuchenkova won’t collapse as Navarro did and this time Kasatkina won’t surprise in two easy sets, but she can do it in a longer match. Pavlyuchenkova can play at a higher level but won’t be able to keep the consistency needed to finish the job in two easy sets.

Our tennis pick on this match will be on Over tennis odds expecting this contest to be decided in three sets.
