This looks a real one-sided affair as multiple Gold Winners Mexico face struggling Cuba. William Hill's Lee Phelps is looking at the odds to find the best value for his free betting pick.

There are more stories off-the-pitch ahead of Mexico vs. Cuba than we can expect on it during the 90 minutes play.

Mexico has lost two of their best players, the coach is under pressure and the mood isn’t good, while at least half of Cuba’s team and the head coach won’t even arrive until the day of the game.

Mexico
The injuries to Javier Hernandez and Hector Moreno have rocked the Mexicans and coach Miguel Herrera has changed their formation to a 4-4-2 in their quest for a seventh Gold Cup crown.

El Tri hasn’t won in seven having sent a weakened team to the Copa America, the general feeling around the camp is downbeat. Herrera has put the pressure on too by claiming failure to lift the continental trophy will be a failure.

Despite all that, Mexico should still win this with ease, the only question is how strong the motivation is and how many goals they want to win by.

Cuba
Whenever Cuba travels, there is the potential for players to go ‘missing’ and forward Keilen Garcia appears to have defected after not showing up for a team breakfast on Wednesday; while visa issues means the team won’t be together at all before game day.

To be fair their focus is on Guatemala and Trinidad and they’ll hope to have boss Raul Gonzalez back along with a full compliment of players for those matches.

Cuba is on a sequence of one win in seven matches. Their aggregate score in four previous clashes with Mexico is 1-15 including a 0-5 at the same stage of the 2011 Gold Cup.

Soccer picks
It is tricky finding value in such a one-sided game, with all the over goals prices prohibitively short. Given their need for a win, the lack of first choice strikers and that general negativity around Mexico, I’m liking the look of a Mexico win and under 3.5 goals at 2.2 (6/5) wiht my soccer picks.

Free soccer pick: Mexico win and under 3.5 goals 2.2 (6/5).
