Will the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms reign supreme at the end of Season 7? Spoiler alert: Bovada have Cersei Lannister as a –300 favorite on their Game of Thrones odds board.

Season 7 is coming – and if the producers are to believed, it will be the second-last instalment of the Game of Thrones series on HBO. We’ll see about that, but the writing is on the wall; Season 7 will only have seven episodes instead of the usual 10, starting this Sunday and running through the end of August.

As always, with the start of a new season comes a deluge of Game of Thrones odds. We don’t track the entertainment world on our sports odds board here at SBR, but if you check out the fine folks at Bovada Sports, they’re taking prop bets for the big question everyone’s asking: Who will sit on the Iron Throne at the end of Season 7? Will it be the current reigning and defending Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, Cersei Lannister (–300)? Enquiring minds want to know.

Martin Only Ran Five Seasons

It takes at least a modicum of secrecy to make these bets possible, and the way Game of Thrones is produced, there’s some built-in uncertainty about how things will wrap up. George R.R. Martin, author of the series A Song of Fire and Ice upon which GoT is based, has given the showrunners some information on what will happen in the next novels he’s been writing. That information has been adapted for Season 7. Who knows what Martin has up his sleeve?

A lot of people. Filming for Season 7 wrapped this past February, and while everyone involved is supposed to keep their mouths shut, spoilers are inevitable. Some are rumors, some are based on truth – think of it like the transfer window in soccer. A whole boatload of “spoilers” released on Reddit last year was removed after drawing skepticism and ire, but many of the elements therein appear to be legit, and they were preserved in amber just for this occasion. Read on, if you dare...

Spoilers Are Coming

First of all, it looks like the Lannisters have their way with the Martells and the Tyrells in the early episodes; Episode 3 has already been titled “The Queen’s Justice,” by the way. Then Jon Snow and his buddies capture one of the Undead and bring him to Cersei, who decides to unite their armies against the White Walkers – but then she screws them over on the battlefield. Oh, and she’s pregnant.

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "

How many days until Game of Thrones returns? #WinterIsHere ;/a>
— Daenerys Targaryen (@Daenerys) July 14, 2017
\n"}[/]

This will all presumably lead to an epic battle between the forces of Cersei and Daenerys Targaryen, the +300 second favorite on the GoT odds list. Jon Snow is third at +600; note that Dany and Jon will supposedly get it on at the end of Episode 7. Hasn’t anyone learned from Moonlighting yet? Anyway, this alleged storyline appears to set up a happy ending for Season 8, but until then, it looks like status quo in Westeros – unless they appoint an independent counsel or something.

Free GOT Pick: Cersei Lannister –300
Best Line Offered : at Bovada
