Join us on our daily coverage of the WTA French Open. Find out our top tennis picks for the Quarterfinals and why should you place these two valuable tennis bets.

Kiki Bertens vs. Timea Bacsinszky (8)
Kiki Bertens is for the first time on her career in the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam event, after a superb victory over Madison Keys by 7 – 6 6 – 3. Kiki’s backhand was the key for her success against the American, not giving any free points and exploring Madison’s unreliable backhand. Bertens ended the match with 5 winners / 3 unforced errors with the backhand while Keys made 4 winners / 12 unforced errors with that groundstroke. The Dutch was also extremely effective at the net, winning 84.62% of the points played at the net.

Timea Bacsinszky is just one win away from reaching the French Open semifinals for the second consecutive year. It has been a terrific tournament for Bacsinszky, not losing a single set so far. Timea booked a place in this quarterfinals after an outstanding 6 – 2 6 – 4 triumph against Venus Williams, ending the match with 18 winners / 18 unforced errors and allowing only 6 winners / 24 unforced errors against such a powerful player as Venus, which is impressive.

This will be the second career meeting between these two players, with Bacsinszky winning the previous one in 2014 at the US Open due to Bertens’ retirement.

We should witness a very interesting contest between two terrific clay court players in excellent shape. Bacsinszky’s higher experience on this stages of Grand Slam events might be decisive and it will be very hard for Bertens to hit winners against such a good defender as Timea. With this in mind, our suggestion is for you to add Bacsinszky to your tennis picks, in a match where her higher experience and outstanding baseline game should be too much for Bertens.

Serena Williams (1) vs Yulia Putintseva
It has been a phenomenal year for Yulia Putintseva, after achieving her best result ever in a Grand Slam event earlier this year in the Australian Open – where she reached the 3rd round – the Kazakh improved that record on this event by reaching the quarterfinals. Putintseva was always a very promising player, she’s a former junior world no.3 and known for her extremely competitive attitude on court. On the previous round, Yulia surprised Carla Suarez Navarro by 7 – 5 7 – 5, in a match where she was just too strong from the baseline with 33 winners / 27 unforced errors.

We picked Serena Williams as our main favorite for the title in our tournament preview and it seems highly unlikely to see any other player lifting the trophy at this time. A tough contest was expected in the 4th round against Elina Svitolina, not only because of the Ukrainian’s tremendous defensive skills, but also due to the weather conditions. However, Serena played at a superb level, defeating her opponent by 6 – 1 6 – 1 with 8 aces, 27 winners and only 17 unforced errors.

These two players will face each other for the third time on their careers, with Serena winning the previous two – Madrid 2013 by 7 – 6 6 – 1 and Indian Wells 2016 by 7 – 6 6 – 0.

The previous two encounters were quite similar with Putintseva giving a very good fight on the first set but after that, Serena was just too strong for her opponent. This time we doubt that Yulia can create any problems with the American playing too strong from the start. Having said that, our suggestion is for you to take advantage of Williams’ tennis odds by placing a bet on her spread.
