Join us and find out our two top betting selections for the WTA Wimbledon. We'll provide a detailed analysis, explaining why you should grab these two valuable tennis picks.

Petra Kvitova (10) vs. Ekaterina Makarova
As we mentioned in our tournament preview, Petra Kvitova has an incredibly tough draw on this event; however, the two-time Wimbledon champion started her campaign with a superb victory over Sorana Cirstea, defeating the Romanian by 6 – 0 6 – 4. Petra can never be underestimated on grass, where her powerful serve is even more dangerous. On her first round match, Kvitova won 93% of the points with her first serve, firing 7 aces and not facing a single break point throughout the entire contest.

Ekaterina Makarova loves to compete on Grand Slam events, with the Russian always finding her best tennis on the big stages. Looking at Makarova’s numbers throughout her career, the world no.35 won 65.45% of the matches played on Grand Slam events while her overall winning record is 59.58%. Despite losing one set, Ekaterina started her campaign in Wimbledon with a solid triumph against Johanna Larsson by 6 – 1 4 – 6 6 – 1. This is Makarova’s 10th career appearance on this event, with her best result achieved in 2014 when she reached the quarterfinals.

This will be the 8th career meeting between these two players with Kvitova leading on the h2h by 4 – 3.

Looking at their previous encounters, one of them took place in Wimbledon, with Petra emerging victorious in 2013. This is a very interesting match-up with Kvitova’s firepower contrasting with Makarova’s counter punching skills and ability to hit the ball very early. We believe that Petra might emerge victorious yet, the real value is on the Over since this should be a very close match between two tremendous competitors on this surface and for that reason, our suggestion is for you to add the Over to your tennis picks as the highest value play on this contest.

Alize Cornet vs. Madison Keys (9)
We picked Madison Keys as one of our main favorites to win the 3rd quarter and so far the American matched the expectations. After an easy first round match against Laura Siegemund, Keys had to work very hard against the former Wimbledon semifinalist, Kirsten Flipkens, winning that match by 6 – 4 4 – 6 6 – 3. Despite Madison’s firepower, it’s never easy for the American to maintain a consistent level, especially when facing a great defender.

As we predicted in our WTA Wimbledon Day 3 Analysis, Alize Cornet and Sara Errani featured a tremendous battle, with Cornet emerging victorious by 7 – 6 7 – 5. Despite Sara’s weak record on grass, it’s never easy to defeat the Italian and this win is certainly a massive boost to Alize’s confidence, who hasn’t win many matches since her return from injury in March. Cornet is for the third time on her career in Wimbledon’s third round, losing in 2013 against Flavia Penneta and winning in 2014 against Serena Williams in one of her best victories ever.

These two players will face each other for the third time on their careers, with Keys leading on h2h by 2 – 0.

Despite Madison’s lead on h2h, Cornet is never an easy opponent to face due to her tremendous defensive skills and fighting spirit. As we mentioned before, it’s not easy for Keys to maintain a consistent level throughout the match against this kind of opponents and with that in mind, we recommend you to take advantage of the Over tennis odds by placing a bet on it.
