Juan Martin Del Potro vs. Stan Wawrinka (4)
Juan Martin Del Potro returns to Wimbledon after a three years absence due to several physical problems. Del Potro has already been competing since February and despite some improvements on recent months, the Argentinean keeps struggling to find the best rhythm with his backhand and on his first round match against Stephane Robert, all his 18 baseline winners were achieved with the forehand.

We picked Stan Wawrinka in our tournament analysis as the highest value player to win the third quarter and the Suisse started his campaign with a good victory against a dangerous opponent, defeating the promising Taylor Fritz by 7 – 6 6 – 1 6 – 7 6 – 4. Looking at Stan’s stats on that game, the two-time Grand Slam champion was incredibly aggressive on return, winning 42% of the points on Fritz’ serve and creating 12 break point chances. After reaching the quarterfinals in 2014 and 2015, Wawrinka is looking for another successful campaign on a Grand Slam event, where he usually raises the level of his game.

This will be the 6th career meeting between these two players, with Del Potro leading on h2h by 3 – 2.

Despite Del Potro’s lead on the h2h, those matches took place many years ago and things are quite different now. Juan Martin is still trying to find his best tennis while Stan is now a top 5 player and a two-time Grand Slam champion. Even though Del Potro’s recent improvements, Stan should be too good from the baseline, especially when exploring the Argentinean’s weak backhand. We believe that Wawrinka should get the job done and for that reason, our suggestion is for you to add him to your tennis picks as the best play for this match.

Nick Kyrgios (15) vs. Dustin Brown (WC)
Known for his unorthodox game style, Dustin Brown loves to play on grass where his serve & volley skills are extremely effective. The German is always looking for a chance to rush into the net and we saw that on his first round match against Dusan Lajovic, with Brown playing 86 points at the net and winning 64% of those. Dustin achieved some of his best career victories on this event, with the highlight going to his triumph over Rafael Nadal last year.

Nick Kyrgios is looking for another successful run in Wimbledon after reaching the quarterfinals in 2014 and the 4th round in 2015. Nick is an extremely dangerous player on grass, where his serve is even harder to break.  Kyrgios started his campaign with a good win over Radek Stepanek, defeating the veteran Czech by 6 – 4 6 – 3 6 – 7 6 – 1. Nick fired 25 aces throughout the match and ending the contest with 48 winners / 22 unforced errors.

These two players know each other well, despite not playing a single match so far they are good friends off the court.

It should be a very entertaining match between two good friends who are experts on this surface. Both are known for their powerful serve and for that reason, we shouldn’t witness many breaks of serve. Despite Nick’s clear favoritism, his tennis odds for this match are extremely low which leaves some value for us to play the German’s set handicap. For this match we’ll take a different approach by splitting our stake between two bets, one with higher risk – Dustin Brown +2.5 Set Handicap - and other much safer – Tie Break in the Match? Yes.
