Join us and find out our two top betting selections for the ATP French Open Day 4. We'll provide a detailed analysis, explaining why you should grab these two valuable tennis picks.

Kei Nishikori (5) vs. Andrey Kuznetsov
It has been a very solid season for Kei Nishikori so far, with 7 of his 8 losses in 2016 occurring against better ranked players than him – four against Novak Djokovic, two against Rafael Nadal and one against Andy Murray. Nishikori is looking for another successful journey in Paris after reaching the quarterfinals last year and the Japanese started his campaign with a solid triumph against Simone Bolelli, dismissing the Italian by 6 – 1 7 – 5 6 – 3. Nishikori was just too good from the baseline, ending the match with 30 winners / 17 unforced errors.

Andrey Kuznetsov loves to compete on Grand Slam events with a very good record throughout his career and with his best result achieved earlier this year in the Australian Open, where he only lost to Gael Monfils in the 4th round. Kuznetsov experienced no problems on his first round against Benjamin Becker, crushing the German by 6 – 2 6 – 2 6 – 4. The Russian is an outstanding shot maker and he showed that on his first round match, firing 35 winners / 21 unforced errors.

These two players will face each other for the second time on their careers and even though Kuznetsov’s 1 – 0 lead on h2h, that match took place in 2010 when both players were outside top 200 and ended with Nishikori’s retirement.

This should be a high quality contest between two of the best shot makers in the game. Kuznetsov is not afraid to play against the best in the world and his career record against top 10 players show it, with Kuznetsov winning 18.18% of the matches he played against top 10 opponents and winning at least one set in 54.55%. Nishikori is known for struggling some times to maintain a high level of intensity and for that reason, we believe there is value on Andrey’s tennis odds and our suggestion is for you to place a bet on his set handicap.

Teymuraz Gabashvili vs. Benoit Paire (19)
Benoit Paire is looking to reach the 3rd round of the French Open for third time on his career, after losing on that stage in 2013 and 2015. Despite being known as one of the most talented players on tour with a phenomenal backhand, Paire is also known for his inconsistency and his first round match is a good example of that, with the French needing five sets to overcome the qualifier Radu Albot. The match was all in Paire’s racket, with Benoit ending the match with 65 winners / 78 unforced errors against Albot’s 16 winners / 36 unforced errors.

It hasn’t been an easy season for Teymuraz Gabashvili, he even started the year with a good campaign in Sydney where he reached the semifinals but since then, only won 3 of the following 16 matches he played. Teymuraz made a sensational run last year when he reached the 4th round and he started his journey this year with a good triumph against Donald Young in straight sets.

This will be the second career meeting between these two players, with Paire winning the previous one a few weeks ago in Barcelona by 6 – 2 7 – 5.

After surviving to a tough match on the first round, Paire should present himself at a better level on this match. Gabashvili is also far from consistent and it won’t be easy to play against a full stadium supporting his opponent. Having said that, our recommendation for this match is for you to add Paire’s spread to your tennis picks.
