At the age of 21, Daniil Medvedev is going through the best moment in his career. After reaching the Aegon International Eastbourne semifinals, Medvedev secured an unprecedented place in the top 50. Daniil is still looking for his first career victory on a Grand Slam event after losing in the opening round on his previous two appearances at the Australian Open and Roland Garros. Adding to this, Medvedev holds a terrible 0 – 6 career record against top 20 opponents.

Playing on the big stages brings the best out of Stan Wawrinka. Besides winning three Grand Slam titles since 2014, Wawrinka holds a phenomenal 85.14% winning record on Majors in that period. After winning the title in Melbourne, Paris and New York, Wimbledon is the last Grand Slam title left on his resume. Taking a look now at Stan’s prior appearances at the All England Club, the 32-year-old Swiss reached the quarterfinals in 2014 and 2015.

Despite Medvedev’s successful campaign in Eastbourne, the young Russian never won a best of five sets match. On the other hand, Wawrinka is a completely different player on the big stages. With this in mind, our suggestion is for you to take advantage of Stan’s tennis betting odds by placing a bet on the Swiss to cover his -1.5 Set Handicap.

Donald Young vs. Denis Istomin

Known as one of the most promising players of his generation, Donald Young always failed to meet expectations. Despite his undeniable talent, the 27-year-old American is also famous for his inconsistency. Young couldn’t have asked for a better preparation for this event after reaching the quarterfinals in Queens and Eastbourne. However, Donald’s career record in Wimbledon is far from impressive with the former junior world no.1 winning only one match on his previous nine appearances at the All England Club.

After reaching the 3rd round in 2016, Denis Istomin is looking for another successful campaign on the 3rd Grand Slam of the season. Besides his terrific 10 – 8 career record in Wimbledon, Istomin staged a remarkable run at the Australian Open earlier this season – losing only in the 4th round after defeating Novak Djokovic in the 2nd round. Despite his lack of success in recent months, the player from Uzbekistan is well-known for playing his best tennis on the big stages.

This will be the 4th career meeting between these two players with Istomin winning two of their previous three encounters.

Besides Istomin’s lead on the h2h, the 30-year-old Uzbek holds a much better record in Wimbledon than Young. However, the sportsbooks consider Donald the main favorite to win this match due to his solid results on grass in recent weeks. Although we understand the current prices, it’s impossible to find any value on Young’s odds. On the other hand, it’s also hard to trust on Istomin after winning only one of his last five matches. For that reason, our advice is for you to add the Over to your betting picks since we expect a much closer match than the odds suggest.

Free Tennis Pick: Over 39 (-114)
