At the age of 32, Horacio Zeballos is going through a great moment in his career. Despite his undeniable quality, Zeballos was never able to meet expectations. However, the birth of his first child completely changed his life. Known as an exceptional clay-court player, Horacio reaches this stage of the competition after an outstanding campaign in the European clay-court season. Besides reaching the quarterfinals in Munich, Zeballos secured an unprecedented place in the semifinals of an ATP 500 event in Barcelona.

Despite his recent improvements on clay, Adrian Mannarino is far from an expert on this surface. Adrian’s numbers throughout his career are a perfect example of that with the world no.53 winning only 43.36% of the matches on red dirt. Adding to this, Mannarino presents a terrible 2 – 8 career record in Roland Garros. Although his counter punching skills are extremely effective on fast court conditions, Mannarino’s game style is far from effective on this surface.

This will be the 3rd career meeting between these two players with Mannarino leading on the h2h by 2 – 0. However, neither of their two previous encounters was played on clay.

As we mentioned before, Zeballos is definitely the better player among the two on this surface. Adding to this, Horacio is playing at a superb level in recent weeks. Even though Mannarino will count with a very strong support from the crowd, the value is clearly on the Argentinean’s tennis odds. With this in mind, our suggestion is for you to place a bet on Zeballos as the best betting approach for this contest.

Ivo Karlovic (23) vs. Stefanos Tsitsipas (q)

Despite his age, Ivo Karlovic continues to be one of the toughest opponents on the ATP World Tour. Known as one of the best servers in history, Karlovic holds the aces record on the tour with 11902 aces throughout his career. Even though clay is far from Ivo’s favorite surface, the Croatian is still a fearful opponent on red dirt. Looking now at Karlovic’s numbers on this surface, the world no.24 presents an impressive average of 1.21 aces per service game on clay. Adding to this, Ivo made it into the 3rd round on last year’s edition in Paris, losing only against the 2016 runner-up – Andy Murray.

The former junior world no.1 – Stefanos Tsitsipas – couldn’t ask for a better debut in Roland Garros as a professional tennis player. At the age of 18, Tsitsipas secured a place in the main draw after winning three matches in the qualifying. Despite his undeniable talent, Stefanos never won a single match on the ATP World Tour. In addition to his lack of experience at this level, Tsitsipas will also play his first best-of-five sets match in his career.

As we mentioned before, playing against Karlovic is one of the toughest challenges on the tour. Besides his incredible serve, the 6’11’’ Croatian is also famous for his tricky backhand slice and outstanding skills at the net. Having said that, our recommendation is for you to add Ivo’s moneyline to your betting picks since it’s highly unlikely to see Tsitsipas emerging victorious from this incredibly tough match.
