Odds Overview

Despite being top of the table, Arsenal is the underdog for this visit to Anfield. They can be backed at a price of +250, with Liverpool holding steady as a +100 to +115 type favorite on the soccer odds board. A draw is available in the +250 to +275 range.

Liverpool

The Reds couldn't keep their winning streak alive away to West Brom over the weekend, as they were held to a 1-1 draw.

It was not a performance to remember for Brendan Rodgers' side, especially following such a dominant showing in the Merseyside derby the week before.

Liverpool did get off to a good start, taking the lead on another Daniel Sturridge goal. However, the Reds failed to put the match out of reach and looked shaky in the second half. A horrible mistake from Kolo Toure gifted the Baggies a goal and Liverpool couldn't find a winner after that.

Despite a shaky performance, the Reds still occupy the fourth spot in the standings, though they're now six points back of third place, which is currently shared by Manchester City and Chelsea.

But, with Sturridge and Luis Suarez still clicking on all cylinders – the pair has now accounted for an amazing 27 league goals this season – Liverpool will be feeling confidence about their chances this weekend, especially with the team only having lost one time in the league at Anfield thus far.

Arsenal

We're about to find out what the Gunners are really made of and if they have a legitimate chance of winning the Premier League.

Arsenal's next four fixtures are about as difficult as you can get. They start with this away match at Anfield before hosting Manchester United four days later. They then taken on the Reds again, this time in the FA Cup. And, as if that wasn't enough, they'll do battle with Bayern Munich in the Champions League three days later.

Yikes. This will be a grueling stretch for Arsenal, but they've been excellent so far this campaign and there's no reason to expect a complete letdown over the next few weeks.

The Gunners certainly looked comfortable this past weekend, beating Crystal Palace 2-0 at home thanks to a brace from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in what was his first league start of the season. Arsenal had almost 75 percent of the possession and never really surrendered control of the tempo in the victory.

With City losing to Chelsea, the Gunners went back on top of the Premier League and now sit two points clear. However, that lead could very well be short-lived due to this upcoming schedule – will Arsene Wenger's men survive the storm?

Premier League Pick

What a match this will be.

You've got the irresistible Suarez and Sturridge partnership going up against one of the league's top defenses. Something has to give.

Back when these teams met up at the Emirates, Arsenal did enough for the win, but we see Liverpool returning the favor and holding serve back at Anfield. The Reds have been in fine form on Merseyside this season and tend to perform better against the best competition.

With that in mind, let's put our faith in Liverpool at plus odds to secure the three points in what should be a cracking encounter.
