So, Real Madrid is a pretty good team.
If you weren't aware, Los Blancos haven't lost in any competition since a 2-1 away defeat to Barcelona, which was all the way back in late October. They've been unstoppable especially over the last month or so.
In that stretch, Madrid has won eight straight matches outright, while outscoring opponents 19-2. They haven't shipped a goal six consecutive appearances, quite an amazing feat.
And, with most everyone back and healthy, including both Ronaldo and Bale, we know the goals are going to keep coming in bunches. In 20 La Liga matches in 2013/14, Madrid has found the back of the net 58 time, more than any other team in the league.
Ronaldo's goal total has reached 21 in league play, with Karim Benzema (10), Gareth Bale (8) and Isco (6) also helping out in that department. Bale has made a great transition to the Spanish top fight, adding a team-best seven assists to the cause.
The results have been very mixed for Granada. They lost 3-0 to Almeria but then came back to baet Real Valladolid 4-0 before drawing 0-0 with Osasuna last weekend.
The point from their recent fixture put El Grana on 24 points alongside three other La Liga teams. They're taking up the tenth spot for now because of a superior goal differential.
French striker Youssef El Arabi has been the top goalscoring threat for Granada this term, scoring seven league goals in 18 appearances. If El Grana is to get on the score-sheet at all, it's likely to come thank to El Arabi.
Surprisingly enough, Granada's form has actually been better away than it has at home. Whereas they've lost seven of eleven matches in their own stadium, they've mustered up four wins, two draws and three defeats when traveling.
Let's not get kid ourselves here though. Trips to the Bernabeu are always immensely difficult and so many things will have to go just right if El Grana are to get even a draw out of this fixture. With Los Blancos in such amazing form, we just don't see it happening though.
La Liga Pick
We should be seeing another completely dominant performance from Real Madrid again this weekend.
Los Blancos have lost only once at the Bernabeu and have posted an outstanding +22 goal differential there so far. We just don't think Granada, who have scored a mere 19 goals all year long, possess the firepower to stay competitive here.
To get the best value out of our soccer picks, let's back Madrid to win by two (or even three) or more goals. It would be surprising if they didn't put at least a few past Granada en route to an easy three points, with Ronaldo almost certain to find his name on the score-sheet at least once.
Soccer Pick: Real Madrid 4 Granada 0
