We cast our eye across European club football and serve up choice soccer picks for several standout domestic cup finals, including Coppa Italia, Copa del Rey and FA Cup.

Here we rundown through several key domestic cup finals that are on the soccer betting menu this week, deciding matches that soccer bettors can bet individually or lump into a parlay of their choosing. Check out our soccer picks before placing your bets.

Coppa Italia: Juventus vs. AC Milan
Juventus take on AC Milan in the Coppa Italia final, a clash they are fixed to win across all sports betting platforms at -163 soccer odds or thereabouts. It’s hard to imagine anything but a Juventus win here, seeing how the Old Lady has dominated Italian football in recent years. Serie A champions for a fifth straight season, they won the Scudetto with a 9-point advantage over Napoli despite getting off to a horrendous start.

Over and above their Serie A dominance, Juventus come into the final as Coppa Italia defending champions after winning the cup last term over Lazio. It’s their third final appearance in the competition – winners in 2014-2015 and runners-up in 2011-2012 – in four years.

AC Milan, by contrast, reach the final for the first time since being crowned champions in 2002-2003. They’re coming off a so-so season in which they finished seventh in the league but 34 points off pace-setting Juventus. If that’s not an indication of the gap in quality, talent and skill, what is?

Copa del Rey: Barcelona vs. Sevilla
Barcelona narrowly won the La Liga title this season, but, only just after a concentrated push by Real and Atletico to serve up the closest title race in recent memory. But Barcelona are held to loftier standards and their untimely Champions League weighs heavily against them.  Sevilla, by contrast, are coming off a third straight Europa League title, a momentous accomplishment on the European stage that is sure to propel them into this highly-anticipated final with an added verve and swagger.

Yet, the markets are swinging this clash wholeheartedly towards the Catalan giants, pricing a Barcelona triumph at whopping -350 soccer odds in match betting markets. Don’t know about you, but that does smack disingenuous a touch given Sevilla’s recent gauntlet throwing win over Liverpool in Basel. At +700 soccer odds to upset Barcelona, Sevilla don’t appear to be receiving the respect they so clearly earned. It’s worth pointing out too that the pair split their meetings this season with each side winning at home 2-1.

Perhaps, betting against Barcelona is anathema to most soccer bettors. For our money, though, we can’t possibly ignore the +700 soccer odds tabled for this match without carefully consideration. It’s worth the tickle in our books, even if everything points to a Barcelona win.

FA Cup: Manchester United vs. Crystal Palace
Man United enter the FA Cup final as the favourites across sports betting exchanges, trading from -133 to -145 on the soccer odds board or thereabouts depending on your choice sportsbook.  Past trends point towards the so-called better team winning the FA Cup – with Chelsea, Man City and Arsenal collecting six of the last seven titles. As well, good form down the stretch: the Red Devils wrapped up their season with a 2-3-1 record in their last six fixtures around Premier League to finish 9th on the form table. Looking further they lost just two of their last 13 fixtures across all competitions.

Both these trends conspire to serve up Man United as the favourites to win outright, but does that mean they are the smart soccer pick? Not necessarily.

There are those that would argue the Red Devils leave much to be desired this season. Numerous disappointments across all competitions, not to mention a third straight season without Champions League to look forward to take the shine off Man United’s soccer odds even though they are by and large expected to win over an arguably weaker opponent.

Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace are riding poor form into the final when considering just their Premier League account in the second half of the season. Palace finished the season as one of the worst form side in the league since the Christmas Break. That form, however, hasn’t spilt forth into their FA Cup campaign as they went on to defy the soccer odds and upset the likes of Southampton and Tottenham to reach the coveted final. There’s something in that for soccer bettors to consider even if Crystal Palace – quite rightly, mind, -- are held as the underdog in this clash with soccer odds of +425 to +480.

Poor domestic form is a worry, but the upshot could be fresher legs after going through the motions in England’s top flight. FA Cup is beyond reproach though. Palace have won each fixture convincingly without needing replays or the like. That amounts to confidence ahead of the biggest prize they could possibly hope for on the season.

In the last seven FA Cup finals, only Wigan Athletic defied the soccer odds following a triumph over Man City in 2012-2013. Can Palace pull off a similar result? Absolutely. It’s a long shot soccer pick, but not entirely improbable. Granted Man United should win this billing, but don’t be surprised if Palace do pull off the feat.  As such, we’re chancing Palace at +480 to win in match betting markets.
