The 8 matches taking place in the Champions League on Tuesday are some of the hardest to call of the entire round and we have the best soccer picks for you here.

Tuesday's action is very hard to predict, mostly because some of the groups are wrapped up and whatever happens in some matches will not change who qualifies or in what order.

That can lead to rotated sides being put with fringe players being given a chance to impress.  Whilst those players may be trying really hard to show what they can do it can disrupt a team's pattern of play and just generally makes things harder for us punters.

Bayern Munich vs. Atletico Madrid

This game is a prime example of this. Madrid particularly has a long season ahead of them in a league that is becoming even more competitive. Bayern Munich, on the other hand, is expected to win their domestic league quite easily and have a much deeper squad than their opponents on Tuesday. The value in the market right now appears to be with an Atletico Madrid away win but I’m looking elsewhere for my bet on this game. Instead of going for something in the match odds market, I’m looking to bet on Both Teams To Score (Yes) at soccer odds of -105 with William Hill.  Traditionally we’d be looking at two sides that have strong defenses but if, as I expect, they rotate their team then others will be coming in and mistakes could be made at the back.

PSV Eindhoven vs FC Rostov

I’m going for the same bet in the PSV Eindhoven v FK Rostov match but for different reasons.  First of all, I think there’s value at -125 (again with William Hill) but also because I think both sides will be playing without the pressure of qualification holding them back.  For a match that’s effectively a “dead rubber”, this one has the potential for goals.

FC Basel vs Arsenal FC

I’ve got two betting picks for the Basel v Arsenal match and this one does have a little something riding on it.  A solid win for Arsenal could see them topping the group and Basel could still qualify for the next stage of the Europa League by finishing third.

Looking at the way Arsenal played at the weekend I think they could do some real damage against this Basel side so I’m going for both a straight away win (+119 at 5Dimes) and also Over 2.5 Goals (-129 at JustBet).  Arsenal may well end up covering the over on their own and if they do it should be an easy win for us with both bets.

Free Soccer Pick: Arsenal +119 & Over 2.5 Best Line Offered: Arsenal +119 at 5Dimes & Over 2.5 -129 at JustBet

Manchester City vs Celtic FC

The straight match odds are too low to consider betting there but when you look at how well Manchester City has done in the first half of their games this season, I’m a little surprised to see odds of -133 on a Manchester City first half victory.

With plenty of betting opportunities in Europe this week this is just the first day of action for us.  I’ll be back with more betting tips for Wednesday's games and for the Europa League matches.
