Man City vs. PSG
PSG to advance

Going into the first leg, Man City were at the disadvantage in every aspect at the sports betting exchange, but after a 2-2 draw in the French capital resurrected a seemingly improbable European run the Citizens, all of a sudden emerge as the favourites to advance into the semis. As it is, they are trading as the -163 bet to qualify while PSG, formerly favoured, are now trading as the +125 long shot soccer pick.

If we can agree PSG are the better side then surely it follows they are the better soccer pick to advance at +125, not to mention the value bet as well. PSG have lost at this hurdle in three straight campaigns, which does take the shine off of their soccer odds especially if you’re into superstition and hexes, but Man City are really there for the taking as well. Consider their less than convincing form over the last couple of months across all competitions and the growing injury list to boot. Besides, let’s face it, the draw at the Stade de Paris might well be a one-off performance.

Totals and Both Teams To Score
Last week’s first leg served up a right goal fest and saw the 'Over' 2.5 cash for bettors. It wouldn’t be surprising if the second leg was more of the same; hence, the 'Over' 2.5 is favoured at -155 at Heritage and it’s admittedly worth the tickle. For the more adventurous soccer bettor, several books such as Bookmaker and The Greek are offering the 'Over' 3 at a tempting +103 and +106 soccer odds. Four of PSG’s last five Champions League fixtures yielded three goals or more while three of Man City’s last four Champions League fixtures have yielded three goals or more.

Still the safer option is to back the 'Over' 2.5 and, in turn, perhaps, add another separate bet on both teams to score, which can be backed at a fair price of -183 at bet365.

Result/ Both Teams To Score
Another soccer pick to consider in proposition markets is both teams to score combined with the result. Given the talent contained on attack in both camps and the high stakes involved it’s hard to see this game serving up a clean sheet for either side, but the tricky part here is deciding which team is your choice soccer pick to win as well. Man City to win and ‘Yes’ for both teams to score can be backed at +350 (while the No option is trading at +450). PSG to win and ‘Yes’ for both teams to score can be backed at +333 (while the No option is trading at +400). For our money, we fancy PSG to win and both teams to score at +333. Well, we did recommend PSG to advance above so in the name of continuity…

To Score
Both Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani scored for PSG in the 2-2 draw. For the former, it marked the fifth straight goal in Champions League and he’s good value to continue that form at the Etihad as the anytime goal scorer at +120 at William Hill. Edinson Cavani at +200, Lucas Moura at +333, Angel di Maria +284 and Adrien Rabiot at +800 are all prominent figures on the French attacking front and could be alternatives to spot on your soccer picks. Indeed, Moura scored a brace in the weekend’s 2-0 win over Guingamp and could carry the momentum into Tuesday’s highly anticipated showdown at the Etihad.

Real Madrid vs. Wolfsburg
Real Madrid are in a bit of a pickle with their Champions League fortunes hanging in the balance of must-win second leg. Down 0-2 to competition longshots Wolfsburg was a predicament few would have predicted with any conviction last week, yet that’s exactly the case as they head into Tuesday’s highly anticipated showdown at the Bernabeu. [Insert dramatic shiver].

We must agree Real Madrid are still the smart bet to win and advance, surely. They are the better team after all. They also have home advantage and that is going to be a massive boost to their chances. Real Madrid are currently trading on par with Wolfsburg at -110 to qualify at most sports betting outlets, but William Hill is actually offering Real Madrid to advance at +100 while favouring Wolfsburg at -137 to qualify for the semi-finals.

Granted Wolfsburg are up in this clash but it’s far from won just yet and given the gap in quality and depth between these two outfits Real do have a realistic shot to turn this tie on its head if not advance, making those soccer odds just too good to pass up.

Totals and Both Teams To Score
For Real Madrid to win and advance they’ll need to score at least three goals and concede none. As a result, the 'Over' 2.5 is priced at a high -350 or thereabouts at most soccer betting outlets, sucking the value out of the popular proposition bet. 'Over' 3.5 is trading at a fair -125 price and might be worth the tickle, but keep in mind the fact that a 2-0 win by Real in 90 minutes would do the trick and send the game into overtime. In fact, the 'Under' 2.5 is trading at +260 soccer odds at Bet365 for those still willing to take a chance on the totals.

Both teams to score is trading on a tightly soccer betting line with the affirmative option installed at -143 and the negative option installed at +105. Ideal scenario for Real is the latter, obviously, all while they pound the net, but they can’t take anything for granted as Wolfsburg is sure to press for the away goal. For our money, we’re giving these markets a skip on our soccer picks as they are far from a certain bet either way.

To Score
When push comes to shove Los Blancos invariably turn to their talisman Cristiano Ronaldo to rescue them and so it should be the case here as Real’s Champions League future this term is in real jeopardy at the moment. Naturally, Ronaldo is a strong favourite across sports betting platforms to score anytime, anywhere from -225 to -350 depending on your choice sportsbook.

Given he’s more likely to score than not, it’s worth the tickle even at these prices. That said you’ll find Ronaldo at tempting +200 to +250 soccer odds or thereabouts to score first and galvanise his side to victory. He’s priced identically to score last as well.
