On this week's show, SBR Forum's Natalie Rydstrom and head linesmaker at Betonline, David Bond, take a look at what's going in soccer, tennis and golf for the week.

Behind the Bookie with BetOnline is a weekly show hosted by SBR Forum’s Natalie Rydström where she discusses the latest in sports picks and odds. David Bond, head lines manager for Betonline, also gives insight into how the betting action is shaping up for international sporting events including soccer, tennis, golf, and more. Where the betting value this week?

In this week’s show, they discuss FIFA Confederations Cup matches as well as Wimbledon 2013 betting futures and British Open golf.

FIFA Confederations Cup Betting Action

Spain is a giant favourite over Tahiti with a spread more customarily seen in American Football – BetOnline currently has Spain at -8 goals on the spread. BetOnline opened the line at 7.5 and it has been bet up by sharps and squares alike. Arguably the best team in the world, Spain is expected to blow right past Tahiti.

Soccer odds hold Uruguay as a modest favourite at -143 on the 3-way line against Nigeria, as per BetOnline’s current pricing. The draw line is offered at +250. Less action has come in so far on this game than the others but the action has been relatively balanced. BetOnline's David Bond predicts Nigeria pulling the upset.

Brazil vs. Italy is also a match with relatively balanced action. Outside money has come in on Italy, but most sharp bettors are locked in on Brazil, currently offered at -155. The draw on this game is valued at +270.

Wimbledon 2013 Betting

Novak Djokovic is priced shorter than the rest of the field headed into Wimbledon; coming off a disappointing French Open, the world’s best player can be had at +160. As can be expected, Rafael Nadal is also getting some love as the Spaniard looks to reply to his Roland Garros victory with an impressive Wimbledon campaign. Nadal is offered at +300. Andy Murray and Roger Federer are listed at +300 and +500 respectively.

Serena Williams is the clear favourite on the women’s side at -200. The dominant American all-star has blazed through every tournament she’s entered as of late and only Maria Sharapova (+500) and Victoria Azarenka (+600) are given any respect through their own futures odds to put up a struggle. The rest of the field is littered with dark horses who are receiving a small amount of long-shot action. These players include Agnieska Radwanska at +3000 and Caroline Wozniacki at +8000.

US Open Betting Recap and British Open Preview

BetOnline cleaned up in the US Open with Tiger Wood’s lackluster performance and were relatively happy with Justin Rose’s victory. David shares that Jason Day has been bet heavily by sharp bettors off his good performances, dropping from +3000 to +2500. Tiger Woods meanwhile is being offered at +700 due to injury concerns. Rory McIlroy is priced at +1200.
