Behind the Bookie with BetOnline is a new show on SBR Forum discussing the betting action for upcoming sporting events. Join SBR’s Natalie Rydstrom and BetOnline’s head lines manager, David Bond, as they breakdown some of the weekend's biggest events, helping you uncover some of the best sports betting value on offer.
The debut show covers this weekend’s UEFA Champions League Final between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, the 2013 French Open at Roland Garros, and two golfing events (BMW PGA Championship & Crowne Plaza Invitational).
Champions League Final
At the time of filming, soccer odds had Bayern Munich as -133 favorites on the moneyline for the three-way line. The line has since moved just four cents — David confirmed that a steady stream of support has rolled in for the favourite. The price could improve, as he forecasted sharp action coming in the day of the final, that money likely to be on underdog Borussia Dortmund. Totals goals are sitting at 2-½ with -130 on the over. Stuart from BetAdvisor joined SBR recently giving his UEFA Champions League Final match prediction.

2013 French Open
The French Open commences Sunday, May 26th and runs for a fortnight. There was little surprise in hearing that most BetOnline players fancy the big favourites to progress through to the finals. Most futures action has been accepted on Rafael Nadal capturing his eighth French Open trophy, and Serena Williams getting it done in the ladies to win this event for the second time in her hall-of-fame career. BMW PGA Championship & Crowne Plaza Invitational
The conclusion of the show focused on the BMW PGA Championship and Crown Plaza Invitational in the golf world. Most of the action began flowing in Wednesday – the day of filming – as is customary in golf wagering. In the BMW PGA Championship, BetOnline has seen the sharp money coming in on Rory McIlroy head-to-head against Luke Donald, with the public action coming in for Lee Westwood over Sergio Garcia; especially after his recent spat with Tiger Woods. In the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial, sharp money came in for Justin Leonard, Vijay Singh, and Martin Laird.
