Roger Federer (3) vs. Marin Cilic (9)
Roger Federer is looking for his 8th career title in Wimbledon and after Novak Djokovic’s loss, he’s now the highest ranked player on the top half of the draw. After losing in the final in 2014 and 2015 against Djokovic, Federer knows that this is a huge opportunity for him. However, the last months haven’t been easy for Roger with some physical problems and even though he reaches this stage of the competition without losing a single set, it’s important to mention that Federer hasn’t faced any serious opponent so far.

On the other side, Marin Cilic is returning to the level presented in 2014 when he won the US Open. The Croatian can be a very dangerous player with his powerful serve and looking at his stats throughout the competition, Cilic fired an average of 1.36 aces per service game while his career average on grass is 0.81. Marin reaches this stage of the competition after an easy match against Kei Nishikori, with the Japanese retiring from the match due to injury when Cilic was already leading by 6 – 1 5 – 1.

This will be the 7th career title between these two players with Federer leading on h2h by 5 – 1.

Despite Federer’s lead on h2h, it was Cilic who won their previous encounter in 2014 at the US Open by 6 – 3 6 – 4 6 – 4. Marin is playing at a superb level and it will be very hard for Federer to break his serve. Looking to the tennis odds for this match, the value is clearly on Cilic’s side and for that reason, our suggestion is for you to add the Croatian’s spread as the best play for this contest.

Sam Querrey (28) vs. Milos Raonic (6)
Sam Querrey is for the first time in his career in the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam event. Besides this remarkable achievement, Sam also defeated the world no.1 in one of this best performances ever. Known for his powerful serve, Querrey can be a very dangerous opponent on this surface yet, it won’t be easy for him to play at his best on this match since this is his first quarterfinals appearance on a Slam. Adding to this, the American is also far from reliable on return, especially with the backhand.

Milos Raonic is on a mission – to win his first Grand Slam title – and he won’t rest until he gets it. Despite being very close from elimination on the previous round against David Goffin, Raonic bounced back from a 0 – 2 disadvantage to emerge victorious by 4 – 6 3 – 6 6 – 4 6 – 4 6 – 4. Milos has been extremely solid throughout this event on his serve, winning 95.8% of his service games and firing an average of 1.42 aces per service game. Raonic is also playing with a very offensive mindset, rushing to the net 169 times on this event and winning 65.09% of those points.

These two players will face each other for the 4th time on their careers and even though Querrey’s 2 – 1 lead on h2h, those matches took place several years ago.

Both are terrific servers and it won’t be easy for any of them to break his opponent yet, Raonic should be too strong for his opponent. It’s hard to see Sam breaking the Canadian while on the other hand, Milos should create serious problems if Querrey can’t hit a strong first serve. Having said that, we advise you to add Raonic’s set handicap to your tennis picks.
