Formula 1 rolls north for the Running of the Grand Prix Du Canada this Sunday afternoon. All eyes will be on Lewis Hamilton and team Mercedes as they are desperate for a win after a disappointing day in Monaco.

With the early season European tour behind us, F1 tires touch North American soil for the 1st time this year. After an underdog (+140) victory in Monaco, Sebastian Vettel rolls into this weekend with a comfortable 25 point lead for team Ferrari in the Drivers Championship standings. Much like Circuit de Monaco, the Gilles-Villeneuve is an unpredictable track which makes effective betting a tall task.

With the race tightening for this season’s championship, it's no surprise that Vettel (-150) & Hamilton (+150) top the odds board for Sunday. A wide chasm separates these two and the rest of the field at this point, the odds today at Willliam Hill back that up. The next closest in the odds is Valtteri Bottas as a deep +3300 underdog.

An interesting prob bet to take note of is at Paddy Power for the first car to retire. All the manufacturers & drivers present high-value lines, but none more so than McLaren at +500. It’s no secret that their partnership with Honda has been a complete disaster, mired by underperformed and unreliable engines. Despite Fernando Alonso returning to F1, the cars themselves are the real issue and have kept McLaren from securing even a single point so far in 2017.

With McLaren-Honda struggling to even get their cars on the starting grid most weekends they become a team to fade without consideration until further notice. They have only seen 2 cars all season even complete a race. This, combined with the stellar +500 odds, creates a fantastic best bet for Sunday afternoon.
