Manchester United vs. Everton
Considering the Toffees have been playing well this season, there actually isn't a huge disparity in the odds for this match. United is a 20/20 soccer betting odds favorite at home, with Everton quoted at 4/1 to get a massive result.
We've seen David Moyes' side get the job done numerous times this season, so a draw could be the way to go. That price-tag is at 57/20 as of now.
The Red Devils enjoyed another successful week, winning both of their domestic matches to keep their sizable lead on top of the table intact.
They first held on to beat Southampton 2-1 last weekend. We understand a win's a win, but United sure made it difficult on themselves. Wayne Rooney's two goals ended up making the difference in a match where the Red Devils were actually out-played by the visitors for a vast majority of the 90 minutes.
A few days later, United took a trip to London to pay a visit to Fulham and grabbed a 1-0 win over Fulham. Again it was Rooney that scored the winner.
It's now been a long while since the Red Devils lost in the league. You'd have to go all the way back to November 17, a 1-0 loss to Norwich.
In the 13 Premier League fixtures since, United has won 11 times and drawn twice. Sir Alex Ferguson continues to get great play out of Robin Van Persie, and the Red Devils are looking more and more threatening now that Rooney is back healthy and firing on all cylinders.
Unbeaten over their last five league matches, the Toffees will try to extend that to six on Sunday up in Manchester.
Last week they beat West Brom 2-1 at home and then tied Aston Villa in a thrilling 3-3 clash. Marouane Fellaini scored twice, taking his league tally to 10, while Victor Anichebe also got his name on the score-sheet.
Four points out of those two matches has kept Everton in the fifth spot in the Premier League. They're on 42 points, three back of Tottenham for fourth and one point ahead of sixth-place Arsenal.
Away from home this season, the Toffees haven't been spectacular, but they haven't been bad by any stretch of the imagination either. They've lost only twice in 10 matches outside of Merseyside and have a goal differential of plus-four.
Even better news for Everton is that they'll almost assuredly have the services of Fellaini, who wasn't able to make an appearance in international duty during the week. Fellaini has a bruised hip, but is expected to make the starting XI.
Premier League Pick
Let's not forget what happened when these sides battled it out at Goodison Park all the way back in late August. Everton got off to a wonder start to their Premier League campaign with a 1-0 win over the Red Devils.
Unsurprisingly, it was Fellaini that scored the match-winner. But don't get it twisted: it was no fluke win, as the Toffees were great value for the victory, out-gaining United 18-14 in total chances.
And, as a matter of fact, we believe Everton will be able to bring the heat again this Sunday. The Toffees already have 12 draws in domestic play, tied for the most (alongside Stoke City) of any other side, and they already know they can hang with the Red Devils.
United will be out for retribution, but for our soccer pick we like the look of a draw at almost 3-to-1 odds.
