Over in Spain's La Liga there is another clash that should supplement my weekly Premier League winnings and when Levante takes on Malaga. Get the best football tips here.

Levante vs. Malaga

Your Humble Handicapper knows that winning money from the sports books online is just a click away. Let's look at the betting odds for this matchup.

This one should be a tight one as looking at the last five head-to-head meetings between the two sides it's very nearly 50/50. Malaga has won three and Levante has won twice. If that's not close enough for you should know that in the last four meetings it’s been two for Malaga and two for Levante. This is not going to be an easy game for your average sports handicapper to call, however there is very little that is average about me.

Enough with the self-aggrandising…WHERE’S THE MONEY MIKE?

Seriously this game is very, very, very close, and looking at the stats just sends out more and more mixed messages. Levante are on a pretty dire run at present having won just once in their last five games, that's possibly why and an away victory is available at 9/5. However looking at all of the last five between these sides, it has been not one, not two, not three, not four, but five victories for the home side which is possibly why a home victory is offered up by the sports books at 6/4. Throw into the mix that Malaga has drawn three of its previous five games, with its one defeat in the run coming at the hands of the all-conquering Barcelona and you would understand why the bookies have a draw at 9/4.

Out on a Limb

First, I will tell you what not to bet on! Don’t bet on a goalless draw. Malaga have both scored and conceded in each and every one of their last five games while Levante have conceded in all five of their last five games and scored in their last two. If you think I'm talking out of my hat, by all means throw your money away giving it to the bookies with your football betting, as they have 0-0 at 9/1.

So, once we’ve agreed that there will be goals in this game, the question is how many.

There has been 13 in the last five meetings between these two sides but more interestingly there has been 12 goals in the last four meetings and the winning side scored three times on three occasions. So if you want to get busy with the side-bet fizzy, check out 3-1 to Malaga at 25/1, 3-1 to Levante at 28/1, and 3-0 to Malaga at 35/1 and 3-0 to Levante at 26/1.

I would wholly recommend, and I'm willing to put my money where my mouth is with this one that this game will go over 2.5 goals that is something offered up the bookmakers at 11/10 although under 2.5 goals is at 8/11.

Crunching all these numbers together, makes your Humble Handicapper think that this game, which,  as he's already said, is almost too close to call will end drawn. If you must go for a winner go with home advantage and why not go for one of the aforementioned results but my money and my hopes of Valentine’s Day happiness with Mrs Richardson are going on the game ending honours even.
