Serie A Juventus vs. Fiorentina
Juventus went into their last game under a little pressure, having seen the Partenopei draw level with them at the top of the table (by defeating Catania the night before) and having dropped points in the previous weekend’s draw at home to Genoa. However they turned on the charm and restored a three-point lead at the top of the table with their 2-1 victory over Chievo on Sunday.
Fiorentina had their own reasons to be cheerful last weekend as they got their first win of the year, scoring two goals without reply against Parma on Sunday. That means there are only four points out of the top three finish and could well fancy their chances against Juventus.
Enough with last week's action…WHERE’S THE MONEY MIKE?
Looking at the last five head-to-head meetings there's been two victories for the home side and three draws. That would suggest a very tight game as no surprise that the bookies have a draw at 14/5, but if you look a little harder you’ll see that Juventus have scored eight goals in their last five meetings with Fiorentina, while Fiorentina have only managed to find the back of the net twice in the same run against Saturday’s opponents.
Looking at the last five games at the site applied Juventus by far have the better form with two victories and two draws in their last five while Fiorentina have only managed one win one draw and three defeats from their last five. Everything seems to point towards a home victory, something offered up by the sports books at 8/13, while an away win is 9/2 on the soccer odds boards.
There really is only one team to bet on in this match and that's Juventus.
If you want to get smart and make some extra money of the bookies and are willing to take a risk bet on a draw, specifically a 0-0 draw which is available at 9/1 with Stan James, because in two of the last five meetings between these sides that has been the score. However, I suggest that you keep it very much to loose change bet as both of those goalless draws happened in Fiorentina and Juventus have scored six goals in their last three home games, while Fiorentina have conceded goals in four of their last games, home and away in all fixtures and competitions.
My free football tip is for a home victory, but I'm going to have a side bet on the game being drawn on 45 min before Juventus taken the win at 90, that's available at 7/2 with the bookies.
Mrs Richardson wants to see some money in this game so and I will have to invest quite heavily on Juventus, because the bookies have them as favourites. However with Valentine's Day just around the corner I see no reason not to do that.
Free Football Tips: Juventus win 3-1, available at 14/1 with William Hill.
