Two slow burners are finally catching alight this season, with Man U.reaching heights no-one expected & Everton pushing into the top ten. Lee Phelps is looking at the best odds for his soccer pick.

This is an intriguing game between two sides who have improved their form dramatically in the second half of the season. Manchester United are vying for second spot in the Premier League when some suggested Louis van Gaal might not see this season out, meanwhile Everton are in line for a top half finish when people were talking about them potentially being relegated under Roberto Martinez.

Everton's home form hasn't been terrible at all this season, they've lost three games in total although they have drawn too many. Recently the defence has been excellent and the majority of their 18 goals conceded at home came in the first few games when they drew 2-2 with Arsenal, lost 6-3 to Chelsea and 3-2 to Crystal Palace, and so just looking at the table doesn't really give you a true picture.

Having let in 11 goals in the first three matches at Goodison, they have conceded seven in the next 13, but they haven't been scoring enough goals recently, with Romalu Lukaku unable to find consistency in his scoring. This could be a worry against the Manchester United team who like to have plenty of goals in them.

Away from this match for a moment there is a bet I like on Everton to finish in the top ten. The price is 2.2 (6/5) which doesn’t sound staggering, but I would rather back them to be in the top half than West Ham at 1.67 (4/6) because the clubs are clearly going in different directions, there are only two points between them and they have to play each other yet too.

Manchester United
Louis van Gaal's team have only won five games away from home all season although two of those were against Arsenal and Liverpool. So it seems they have been able to lift themselves against the better teams, but I wouldn't be rushing to back them at Goodison Park given that recent revival we’ve seen from the Merseysiders.

United have some injury problems too, with the most important being Michael Carrick. He has added the solidity in front of the back four, which has allowed the creative players to do what they do best. He has also given Marouane Fellaini license to get forward.

Soccer Pick
I could quite easily go for under 1.5 goals here at 3.4 (12/5) as my soccer pick because I think Everton will be a hard nut to crack for United. But at slightly better soccer odds I’m going to go for the draw and under 2.5 at 4.0 (3/1)

Free Soccer Pick: Draw and under 2.5 goals 4.0 (3/1)
