Every week our soccer tipster shares headlines making the news around Europe & now focuses on Bayern Munich injuries, Alexis Sanchez's goals, & Enzo Perez's next club.
Only last week I was writing here about how Bayern Munich may as well be given the Bundesliga title now and all of a sudden they have nearly a whole team missing.
Thomas Muller and Philipp Lahm have been added to an increasing list of players with injuries for Pep Guardiola's side with Holger Badstuber, Thiago Alcantara, Javi Martinez, Claudio Pizzaro and Pepe Reina are ruled out until at least the New Year.
Also missing from Bayern's squad are duo David Alaba and Bastian Schweinsteiger, although the latter has recently resumed light training.
This won’t affect their chances long term of winning the league title, but there is a match in Manchester worth looking at just around the corner and it’s a must-win for City. They currently sit bottom of the group and depending on the result in the CSKA Moscow v Roma game, they may need to win both remaining games.
Why would Bayern risk players in a game they don’t need to win? They have already won the group and we’ve seen them go down the gears having qualified in previous seasons. I’m taking a Manchester City win at 23/10 on Soccer Odds.
Every time I see the Chilean striker I’m more and more impressed. His goals for Chile make it six successive scoring games, he’s scored nine goals in the last eight games and has eight Premier League goals so far.
He’s good in the big games too, having scored against Manchester City already this season, so I can see his scoring continuing through the season as Arsenal improve. He bagged 19 goals for Barcelona last season in 34 games, so the current price of 5/6 for him to score over 16 Premier League goals look very achievable.
He has 28 games (provided he stays fit) to score another eight times.
The influential benfica midfielder is the subject of plenty of transfer speculation with Valencia the favourites in the betting to sign the Argentinian at 2/1, however I’m looking at him picking England and Manchester United.
He’s won the league and cup in Portugal, been runner-up twice in the Europa League (the Benfica curse is still in full swing of course) and has a World Cup runners-up medal too, so maybe it’s time to test himself.
Rumour has it his compatriot Angel di Maria has been extolling the virtues of the North West and Old Trafford in particular. Add to that the fact Manchester is like a mini Buenos Aires with Pablo Zabaletta, Sergio Aguero, Martin Demichelis and di Maria and it may be a move to England would be more attractive on and off the pitch. You can place your Soccer Pick on Perez’s next club to be Manchester United at 3/1.
