The last two tournaments for the FACEIT Minor begin this week. This time, for the Asian and European regions. We did well in one of the two qualifiers last week and that had a lot to do with identifying Team Spirit and Hellraisers to be the two teams qualifying based on their team play and talent.

With so many roster changes due to visa issues this past week, the Asian minor is very tumultuous. The two favorites to make it out of this qualifier, Tyloo and Renegades, have remained unaffected by such problems, thankfully. However, neither team can really afford to underestimate their opposition given their current form. For that reason I won't be playing any of the outrights or futures markets for this qualifier, except possibly one. Should Tyloo and Renegades place and/or win the Minor? Yes, but there is little to no value at a -200/-300 price.

[/]{"component": "embedHTML", "code": "

We are LIVE with the Asian #FACEITMinor 👌

First up, VG.Flash vs. SCARZ 🔥

https://t.co/h85YdYWBtMhttps://t.co/tu0iNSrGtp
— FACEIT (@FACEIT) July 16, 2018
\n\n"}[/]

Group B

Tyloo have looked much better since the return of their captain, Mo. They've won 8/10 maps (against much lesser opposition), giving the impression of at least some confidence coming in. The experience Tyloo have had on LAN compared with every other team in their group is tenfold. They would really have to be their own worst enemy to drop a map here.

5Power are playing with 3 stand-ins. Skill-wise they are not that much worse than Tyloo, but this is a last-minute compilation of the majority of their roster. How can they have prepared anything but pug strats and some lose ct-setups. If this were another tournament, I might consider a pass but I think there's value on a full-roster Tyloo powerhouse even in a Bo1:

Tyloo (-5.5) @ -110 [Betway]

In terms of the other opening matchup I have no strong numbers or ability to know the level of the Israeli team, Uniquestars. In addition, they are not fielding their normal 5-man roster. Another problem is where the line that has been set; about -6.5/-7.5. Just too many rounds for a match that has so many unknowns. So I recommend passing on that one until we see their performance.

A prop I think has some value if you follow the scene is Tyloo to win their group @ -175 with Bet365. It is the only one I am even considering. I don't believe Tainted Minds nor 5Power have the ability in their current form to take down Tyloo if they show up on Tuesday!
