Review the soccer betting odds before betting on this match, keeping in mind that Chelsea is still undefeated in English Premier League play and will likely remain that way after hosting QPR.

Odds Overview
Like Arsenal-Burnley earlier in the day on Saturday, this 20th-place QPR (1-1-6, 6 GF-18 GA) at first-place Chelsea (7-2-0 24 GF-9 GA) match at Stamford Bridge is one where a gambler needs to be creative if he or she wants to back the Blues here. So, the Asian Handicap and laying a little lumber like Chelsea -2 -117 (bet365) is pretty much the only way to go here in this Week 10 fixture (CC -4 is +620 if you need a laugh and/or would like to lay some Paul Bunyan-sized lumber in West London). The Total Goals is set at 2½ (Over -200 on soccer odds, Under +150).

Although a derby and although QPR beat Chelsea in January (1-0) of last year (2013), the Hoops are in over their heads and their -12 GD is the worst in the English Premier League heading into this week of play. QPR does have some guys who can score in Charlie Austin (+425 Anytime Goalscorer), Bobby Zamora (+500), Eduardo Vargas (+500), Niko Kranjcar (+600) and Jordan Mutch (+650), but the Hoops will be going against now the second-best goalkeeper in the world in Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois and will be facing a Blues team who has to be a bit mad after ending up with a controversial last-minute 1-1 Draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.

QPR will no doubt be up for this game as a win or even a draw here could make their season but it will be that 1-0 win over Chelsea last January that is stuck in the minds of Blues vets like captain John Terry and many others that should keep the Blues sharp from the opening whistle.

Chelsea manager José Mourinho will have his troops ready to go and will probably use some kind of funky lineup here, but with the depth the Blues have, whatever starting XI The Special One throws out there on Saturday should be enough to secure an easy win and three points and keep Chelsea unbeaten and at the top of the EPL table. The last time this Blues team actually lost was in a Turkish charity game to Besiktas, so, losing to QPR is not going to happen unless something extremely strange happens. And everyone knows of Mourinho’s absolutely incredible record at Home.

Whether or not striker extraordinaire Diego Costa (-181, Anytime Goalscorer, Boylesports) will play is up for debate but the fact that the EPL’s co-leading scorer (9 goals) didn’t feature against the Red Devils on Sunday in Red Mancunia may mean Mourinho will have him back in the starting XI, although on the other hand, resting your ailing Main Man against the Hoops also isn’t the worst idea in the world. With Didier Drogba and Eden Hazard and Oscar and André Schürrle a bunch of defenders and central midfielders who think, and have proven that they can get there names on the scoresheet, this Chelsea team can be a goal-machine when circumstances permit and at Home, mad, undefeated and motivated by a sour United mood seems like a nice recipe for a Blues blowout.

Best Betting Approaches
QPR’s biggest scoring threat was Loïc Rémy, but the Hoops sold the striker to Chelsea over the summer signing window, so they will be moving forward with the attack force it has and it isn’t that bad maybe in the context of comparing it (their attack) to Burnley. But that’s like comparing Nickelback to Rick Astley or, in other words, bad is bad Bubba. Betting the Total Goals Over 2½ or taking Costa or maybe even Drogba (-161, Anytime Goalscorer, Boylesports) seems a little risky here, so, as mentioned, taking Chelsea on the Asian Handicap and laying either 1.5 (-200, bet365) or -2 (-117) is a good way to approach this game which actually has very few decent angles to try to make any money wagering on because of this disparity between the two clubs.

One potential soccer pick may be to back Chelsea To Win To Nil (-137, BetVictor; QPR +4000) with Courtois playing brilliant, but with flukes and potential penalty kick and bad calls, betting on “To Nil” props is always a little like being a wildebeest trying to cross a river infested with hungry crocodiles—most get to other side of the bank but there are always like 2 or 3 or 4 who don’t make it and get eaten. Just lay 1.5 or 2 goals here. Chelsea is 3-1-1 in its 5 meetings with QPR at Stamford Bridge, outscoring their not-so-noisy neighbors, 10-2 in the process.
