Injuries Galore
The big game of the English Premier League this midweek comes from Anfield were Liverpool host Premier League leaders Arsenal in what promises to be a pretty decent match-up. Both of these footballing giants come into this clash after very differing FA Cup weekends.

Liverpool were forced to field a young and untested starting XI in the wind and rain in the 2-2 with League Two side Exeter with manager Jurgen Klopp admitting he had never seen half of the team play before. Whilst over in north London, the Gunners' had the luxury of fielding a reserve side in their all Premier League third round tie with Sunderland, but they managed to overcome Premier League strugglers in a 3-1 win with the minimum of fuss at the Emirates.

Klopp has a massive injury crisis to deal with ahead of this one with, at the last count, 13 of his squad missing through injury and what kind of side he can to scrape together against the Premier League leaders, well, that is anybodies guess. The Reds are always a popular choice with punters throughout the world, but with all their injury concerns and a mixed bag results in  recent weeks, I would want a little more than the 3.00 on offer at the soccer odds board with Bet365 about the hosts to tempt me to part with my cash.

The amount of matches that Liverpool have played in recent weeks is another cause for concern for me and could be the reason for the number of injuries with SEVEN matches now in their the last 18 days and this is a match that is coming at the wrong time of the season for the home side. The Honours have been even in this fixture in recent years with four home wins, four draws and four away wins in the last 12 matches, but the one thing you can usually rely on in Anfield clashes between these two are goals.

My Top Picks
There is something about the style of these two sides that bring the best out of each other and both teams to score has been a winner in 11 of the last 12 Anfield clashes between the two sides, and despite them playing out a goalless draw in the reverse fixture at the Emirates, I really like them both to score again at 1.66 with BetBright. In those last 12 matches, a staggering 54 goals have been scored averaging 4.5 goals per game and there is a lot to like about this match to also feature over 2.5 goals again at the slightly bigger 1.83 which is at BoyleSports as it's also been a winner in EIGHT of the last 10 Arsenal away matches.

My main focus is this one is on goals, but I do also like the 2.50 on a Arsenal win with William Hill as that is sure to get lower come kick-off time. Arsene Wenger had the luxury of resting key players at the weekend, including this seasons star man and my choice for PFA Player of the Year Mesut Ozil, and the German world cup winner is to return along with red-hot Chilean Alexis Sanchez who is likely to feature off the bench.

With one team top of the league and fresh rested and at full strength, and the hosts struggling for bodies and far too inconsistent, the 7/5 on an away win looks big. With goals expected for both sides, this could turn out to be a decent watch. For my soccer picks, I'm getting involved in the 4.50 with Ladbrokes on both teams scoring in an Arsenal win.
