Chelsea FC
Champions Chelsea host Everton at Stamford Bridge on Saturday lunch-time and this really is a very tricky Premier League clash to pick the bones out of. The home side are unbeaten since Jose Mourinho left the club, but statistics can be very misleading as results and performances have been far from encouraging since the "Special One" departed.

Wins at home to Sunderland and Scunthorpe and a good performance at Crystal Palace have been encouraging since Guus Hiddink took over, but failing to beat Watford and West Brom at home, well, that is a concern, and that is what's putting me off parting with my cash at the general 1.80 on the soccer odds boards to beat an Everton side that are always capable of a goal or two.

Hiddink has got key-players playing again, but they still seem to be way off the pace in the Premier League, and as a club, I strongly believe they've written of the domestic season and they will throw everything into the Champions League when it resumes next month. Anybody taking the 1.80 on a home win will only have to look at the history books to claim its value.

Chelsea are unbeaten in this fixture in the last 25 meetings between the two with their last success way back in November 1994 when they travelled back to Merseyside with a 1-0 win.

Everton FC
The visitors though are just to inconsistent and at 5.00 with Betfred they still aren't any value with the way they've been playing and with their sorry record in West London. In midweek they did produce one of the shock results of the season in a goalless draw with Man City, which surprised everybody as those two sides score a lot and concede a lot and nobody would've forseen a shut-out. Normal service will resume at the weekend though and the goals markets offer the best value for any bets we should be placing.

Chelsea still have big problems in defence and they conceded another two against lowly West Brom in midweek and thats  two or more conceded now in six of their home Premier League matches and against an Everton side that score a hatful of goals, I fancy them to concede again on Saturday.

In the last 15 Everton matches, 11 of those games have seen both teams to score as a "yes," and with former Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku going back to his former club to prove a point in attack, and a defense that is leaking goals in the Premier League, that is the best way to go at the 1.72 with Coral. It's a difficult one to find a match winner as both of these two sides are totally unreliable and unpredictable and betting on their matches should come with a public "wealth" warning, but I do fancy goals, and at a big-price instead of playing the over 2.5 goals market with your soccer picks, take the 3.10 with BetVictor on this one seeing over 3.5 goals scored.
