On Monday we'll have two of the better teams in the Premier League going at it in London, with the Gunners currently listed as firm favorites in the soccer odds over visiting Liverpool.

Odds Overview
The Gunners are hoping to build off a win last week and they get the massive advantage of hosting this week’s huge clash with Liverpool. Naturally, Arsenal is the favorite on the Premier League odds board, priced at -140 to win.

If you’re really believing in Liverpool’s chances and think the Reds will be able to notch their third consecutive victory, you can back them in the +375 to +400 range. If you’re thinking a draw is the most likely final result on this occasion, that option is trading at +230 at sites like 5Dimes and Bovada.

Arsenal
Following a bad opening day home defeat against West Ham, Arsenal needed to bounce back immediately in its next match, and the Gunners did just that in a 2-1 away victory over Crystal Palace. Going into Sellhurst Park and leaving with all three points is an excellent result, no matter how close it may have been.

It was a dream start for Arsenal after Olivier Giroud had put the team up 1-0 after only 16 minutes, but then Joel Ward equalized for Palace. It wasn’t until the 55th minute that the Gunners took the lead again thanks to an own goal, and Petr Cech (who hasn’t enjoyed the most successful of starts with his new club) and company were able to hold on for the critical three points.

Heading into Monday’s showdown, the only noticeable player missing for the Gunners appears to be Jack Wilshere, so Wenger will have plenty of important decisions to make with so many appealing options at his disposal. The midfield choices are especially plentiful, but we don’t imagine seeing too much change considering Arsenal’s solid start to the campaign.

Liverpool
So far so good for Brendan Rodgers and his team. The Reds have opened the new season by earning successive 1-0 victories, first away to Stoke City and then at home over newly promoted AFC Bournemouth.

In the most recent win, Liverpool was pushed to the limit by a team that had nothing to fear or lose, but in the end the Reds managed to hold on. It was a dream home debut for new arrival Christian Benteke, who opened his Liverpool account with the one and only goal of the match last week. A big money signing from fellow Premier League outfit Aston Villa, Benteke will be counted on to lead the attack until Daniel Sturridge is able to return later on, and he seems to have settled in rather nicely at Anfield thus far.

Perhaps the most influential player going forward, however, has been Coutinho, who has continued to play at a very high level for Liverpool. Rodgers also has to be pleased with how the defense has been performing, especially with two new fullbacks (Nathaniel Clyne and Joe Gomez) out there.

Premier League Pick
While it’s true that the Reds have been able to limit the damage defensively in their first two matches of the season, both of which ended in clean sheets, it’s going to take a monumental effort for them to keep Arsenal at bay on Monday.

The Reds have had trouble at the Emirates in recent seasons and are still trying to work in a lot of new additions to the squad. They’ve managed to pick up the maximum six points, but they haven’t faced anyone nearly as good as the Gunners just yet.

As you may be able to tell, we’re leaning strongly with Arsenal in this fantastic EPL fixture. The Gunners are available at very reasonable odds, and we think they’re simply the better overall side, at least at this juncture of the season.

Premier League Pick: Arsenal 3 Liverpool 1
