With a midweek round of matches coming up straight after these games, there is a quick turn around and managers with smaller squads will be looking to see which game they should prioritise. There’s just one “blue ticket” match this weekend and for once I do have a bet in the BIG game.

Let’s get to it.

West Ham v Leicester looks like a game where you can bet on the away win or Draw No Bet at the very least. They’re not on my list of bets this week but I m keeping my eye on it.

Tottenham v West Brom should be a home win but there’s no value here and with an interim coach in at West Brom and Spurs coming off the back of a Champions League win, I’m not touching the Asian Handicap markets here.

Crystal Palace v Stoke is just one of 4 other matches kicking off at 3pm in the UK and there is some real uncertainty in the market on this one. When that happens, that opens up value and this is a case in point. I’m on the draw in this one at +240 with Pinnacle.

Brighton have been a surprise so far this season, I thought they’d really struggle this season but they’ve done well. They’re up against it in Saturdays game though as they’re visiting Manchester United who are chasing their city rivals for first place in the league. Nothing in this one for me but it would be fun to see an upset (unlikely).

Newcastle United v Watford is normally a game I’d be looking at for an away win but this time round I’m staying out of it. The Toon will stay up this season and Watford are my outside tip for a European spot if they keep their manager. I’d like to get onto this one but it’s too risky even for me.

Swansea v Bournemouth is another game I’m finding tough right now. Bournemouth seem to have sparked into life and Swansea are struggling but I can’t find anything that represents real value so I’m out.

Liverpool v Chelsea is the big game of the weekend and I’m with the away side here. The odds are fantastic for a side that won the league last year and still have the quality in their team to win any game. Liverpool threw away a sizeable lead in midweek and although they have a sparkling front line, they have a hole ridden defence. Take the +258 with Pinnacle.

Another game I’m backing the away side in is Sundays first game as Southampton welcome Everton. The odds are fantastic for an away win at +392 with Pinnacle. Southampton are struggling but so are Everton, I think one goal wins this.

I so want to back Burnley against Arsenal, it would be so typical for Arsenal to pick up 3 points against Spurs but then lose on the road against a team they should be beating. At +550 I’m seriously considering it but I’m not ready to pull the trigger yet.

The last game of the round is Huddersfield v Manchester City and this is a game I’m almost positive the away side will win. Check out the odds though, they’re far too low for me to even think about touching this.

I don’t have a huge number of tips this week but I’m happy with what I’ve got.
