The poor starts for a few Premier League clubs means our capper has found some value odds after scouring the betting on the top English division. Check out his free picks

The Premier League, like so many top divisions around Europe, looks like we could crown the Champions already with Chelsea looking the most dominant team. However time has told us big leads can be reeled in. I’m going to look at some of the value bets at the moment in EPL soccer odds market.

Chelsea are four points clear of Southampton, who will drop off eventually, they’re eight points clear of Manchester City. They must start winning games now and must go on a long winning run and hope the London Blues drop as many as 13 points throughout the season, because City won’t win every game from here on in obviously.

Chelsea may be worth looking at in the multiple trophy betting. They are in the quarter-finals of the League Cup and are 15/8 to win both and 7/5 to lift any two trophies. Seeing as they are 1/6 to win the Premier League and the way they are playing in all competitions that may be a touch of value to win both.

Top Scorer
A few weeks ago Diego Costa has odds on to be named the top scorer and Sergio Aguero was 4/1, all of a sudden the Argentinian has overtaken him in the betting having scored 12 goals (now 11/10). Costa is on 10 (2/1), while Alexis Sanchez is on 8 (12/1). Sanchez may be a good each way bet given his form and the fact Arsene Wenger has likened him to Luis Suarez. If Costa’s hamstring causes him more problems and Sanchez stays fit, he could well sneak past the Chelsea striker. Costa traditionally doesn’t miss many games, he hasn’t missed more than the four he’s sat out this campaign since 2011/2012.

Top Four
There are some intriguing bets surrounding the top four betting. Arsenal are very short at 1/2 given their form, but they always get into the Champions League places. They threw away a lead at Swansea and lost, when they rarely lose those kinds of games. The Gunners are a point outside the quarter at the summit. I couldn’t take that price on Wenger’s team doing what they always do though.

Manchester United are fourth favourites at 4/6 behind Arsenal, City and Chelsea. Louis van Gaal will improve them, but the defence may take a full season, so it’s going to be a rocky ride with lots of goals at both ends. They still aren’t exactly convincing but they are on a nice run of one defeat in six (Manchester City) and that’s without doing too much. They are odds on though and their defence is hardly convincing.

I can’t find Southampton vs Liverpool match bet unfortunately, but it’s crazy to see Saints shorter in the betting than the Reds for a top four finish at 9/4. I do think they will drop eventually but not too far. Before Christmas and after the New Year they have runs of three matches including both Mancunian clubs, Arsenal and Chelsea, so we will know a lot by January 10th.

I think the soccer pick here to go with for the top four are Liverpool at 3/1. Brendan Rodgers team are only four points from the quarter and are close to welcoming Daniel Sturridge back. Once he is back and partnering Mario Balotelli, the midfield and defence will have some pressure taken off them. Liverpool can’t be much worse than they have been already so with some improvement, mainly Sturridge’s goals.
