Day 2 of The Wimbledon Championships serves up a whole slew of stellar matchups. Join us as we cast our eye on several of these first round morsels and spot our tennis picks.

Wimbledon Day 2
The bottom half of the draw for day 2 of Wimbledon betting features Federer, Murray and Nadal in action. Their tennis betting odds are practically leaping off the page as astronomical favorites in their openers. Tennis bettors looking to bet on their matches will need to look at periphery Wimbledon prop betting markets for value tennis picks. Here's our breakdown and ensuing recommendations for each of these highly fancied players.

Roger Federer -20000 vs. Damir Dzumhur +3300
For a second straight Grand Slam, Damir Dzumhur has the honour of taking on Roger Federer. This time, however, they cross paths in the first round. At the French Open, the Bosnian collided with the great maestro in the R32, only to get an education in a 6-4, 6-3, 6-2 loss. Having played Federer once already in the space of a month will serve the 23-year-old well. How much though is debatable when he's set to take on Federer on, arguably, his best surface.

Predictably, odds makers don't fancy his chances as they price him at +3300 tennis odds to win outright. Dare say neither do many tennis bettors either. Obviously, the bulk of public betting is going to go towards Federer. However, those casting their ballot on the Swiss No.1 and seven-time Wimbledon champion are going to have to find better tennis odds than those available for a straight up match win at absurd -20000 tennis odds.

Federer is coming off a fourth title win on the season in Halle, beating Andreas Seppi in the final 7-6 (1), 6-4. Indeed, through five rounds he dropped just one set. With form on grass, a straight set win looks to be the most likely option in his Wimby opener, which you can back at -700 tennis odds. Same tennis odds are trading for the UNDER 3.5 sets in number of sets betting (two way) markets. In fact, that's probably best option for this match.

Tennis Picks: Federer to win outright -700 and UNDER 3.5 at -700

Andy Murray -8000 vs. Mikhail Kukushkin +2200
Andy Murray's opener against Mikhail Kukushkin could be more competitive than the tennis odds would suggest. This doesn't mean we're predicting an upset rather an entertaining match between a player that has nothing to lose and a clear-cut home favourite, who is also Wimbledon's second heir apparent after Djokovic according to the odds makers.

The pair have crossed paths twice in their careers, both times in 2012. Murray defeated Kukushkin in their first ever meeting 5-7, 6-3, 6-2 in Brisbane. In their second meeting, Murray won, albeit behind a third set retirement after taking the first two sets 6-1 and leading 1-0 in the third set.

Nobody that has watched Murray this season is going to consider the upset. The proof is in the pudding, so to speak. The Scot's preparations couldn't have gone any better than they did, winning his fourth title at Queen's club a week ago, third title on the 2015 ATP season. He's 41-6 ahead of Wimbledon, which includes an 11-2 mark at the majors (both losses coming to Djokovic).

Murray should win this match and handsomely so. However, the nerves of the occasion and being the home favorite could make him a little bit irksome, which as avid fans know can see him spend a little more time than necessary on the court.  A straight set win at -450 is the top tennis pick in our books, but a small wager on a four set win at +350 by Murray might not go amiss either.

Tennis Picks: Murray in straight sets at -450

Rafael Nadal -1600 vs. Thomaz Bellucci +900
A dark cloud hangs over Nadal's Wimbledon campaign. While the 14-time Grand Slam champion did win his first tune-up event in Stuttgart a couple of weeks ago, he suffered an opening round exit at Queen's Club to Alexandr Dolgopolov that took the shine off his chances. Then the draw release saw him fall into the same half of the draw as Roger Federer, Andy Murray, Tomas Berdych, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and David Ferrer, a fact that prompted his tennis odds in Wimbledon futures to leap up to from +1200 to +2000.

Just recently, though, it was announced that David Ferrer withdrew from Wimbledon with an elbow injury, making his path just a touch easier to the quarters than it would have been had his compatriot remained.  He still will have to face Murray in the quarters, but that's a way away.

First things first, a tricky opponent in Thomaz Bellucci. Nadal has the 4-0 edge over Bellucci but their last meeting was a lot closer than the score would suggest 6-4, 6-1. That said Nadal hasn't lost a set to Bellucci in those four meetings, making him a solid tennis pick to get his campaign off the ground with a win. Bellucci is 17-16 on the season, but just 1-2 at majors. He did win his first title this season in Geneva last month, in the lead up to the French Open. However, his grass tune-up has been suspect a 0-1 mark.

All in all, Nadal should win this match but at -1600 tennis odds he's a bit too pricey. A straight set win at -200 is a much better tennis pick to consider. If he's a bit nervous, Bellucci could take a set off him, which leads us to a 3-1 SU win at +275 tennis odds.

Tennis Picks: Nadal to win in straight sets at -200 or four sets at +275
